I would call this place a freight train leaving the station. It has so much potential, and only time will tell if it has the fuel to get up to full speed.
Admittedly, it only had its soft opening last Tuesday, and this review takes this into account. Staff is still being trained, kinks worked out, etc. Still, all-in-all it was a great experience and I can't wait to visit again.
We had reservations made through Open Table. On arrival, we were promptly showed to our table. We had requested a high-top and were shown to a standard table, but one mention to the hostess and it was quickly resolved.
It took a while to be seen by a server (15 minutes). He seemed to be wrapping up with a couple other tables, which may have added to the delay. Once he greeted us however, he was very attentive and we wanted for nothing.
Unfortunately, they have no draught beer service yet (5/6/24). The menus advertise draught specials and styles, so this was a bit of a letdown, but we were assured the tappers would be flowing in a week or so. The bottle prices seem a bit elevated for the area, so draught options will be a nice addition.
The menu is very extensive, offering something for everyone. The dragon wings are delicious, but sticky. A wet nap would be a great perk when ordering this style wings. The garlic parm wings were excellent and I'll definitely order them again. My family had burgers which they said were good and the chicken parm sandwich which was tasty and not dry. Portion sizes allowed for some leftovers to be taken home and enjoyed later, but not so gluttonous that you feel ashamed.
The décor, while perhaps overdone, is great to look at and marvel at the architecture and design that went into building this place from the ground up. Every screw, bolt and weld seems to have been thoroughly thought out and executed to perfection.
Managers as well as bussers stopped by to check in on us frequently and make sure everything was OK.
For only being open a week, this place is well on its way to being a local favorite, even if it's not quite firing on all cylinders yet. A few more miles down the track and I'm guessing they will be full-steam ahead.
I'm looking forward...
Read moreI been here couple of times with the benefit of the doubt but man oh man it gets terrible each time I come here. I wanna start off by saying 80% of the staff is kind but others may have attitude like the one girl that’s the bartender. I came here recently and I said to myself no I have to make a review this time because it’s so low quality and so disappointing and sad. Second I have been a paisans Pizza Stan and major fan since I was a little girl. (Especially the one located in cicreo) I only wanted paisans pizza it was one of a kind and the taste of my childhood. However now it’s just disgusting and disappointing especially this location in particular. I took my mom and her friend out to eat recently and we ordered the grilled chicken salad and a large pizza half cheese and half pepperoni and an order of French fries . The salad was good but not something you would pay that much for that Quality of salad as well as the croutons were stale. The French fries where so salty and no taste in the potato like if they picked the cheapest fakest frozen fries. Later on the pizza arrived and when I tasted it the dough felt chewy and tasted like the little pizza bagel bites the ones you buy frozen when your where a child that you put in the little oven after school. The dough tasted as if the dough was frozen for a long time and then was put in the oven on high heat. Low amount of sauce and low basic Quality of cheese but the thing that bothered me the most was the taste of frozen refrigerator that pizza dough had so strongly We also ordered drinks from the bar and my moms friend ordered a two of the same drinks and one is cup was way smaller then the other still being charged the same amount as the big one…So please don’t waste your money here if you expect good quality food for a good buck . I will never come back here again. I rather have some Little Caesars and actually get what I pay for. So...
Read moreOur waitress Gina was very attentive. Very service oriented. This was our first visit and the atmosphere was great. We ordered a hawaian pizza. The food was brought to us and it wasn’t extraordinary. As a matter of fact, it was a little undercooked in the center. The pizza wasn’t cut all through and when we tried to use a knife, the ingredients slid right off the pie and since it was cut in squares, we were pretty much forced to touch even the pieces surrounding the one we cut to avoid taking the cheese and ingredients off the remaining pieces. If it were more than just the two of us, my fiancé and myself, I wouldn’t have eaten at all because I don’t like other people touching my food.
In regards to pricing, we understand that prices everywhere have gone up and sort of expect paying a bit more than what the menu says. But this was totally bait and switch. We ordered a 16” pizza that was supposed to be $32. We added 2 ingredients that were supposed to be $2.95 each and that was the wrong thing to do. You see the Hawaiian pizza comes with pineapple, ham, green peppers and extra cheese… with the other two ingredients we added, Canadian bacon and onions, the price of the pizza changed drastically and they charged us a base price and then they charged for each and every ingredient as if we were designing our own pizza, but didn’t inform us about the change until we got a $50 charge for it. We had ordered another supreme pizza to go and that was $35 with the price increase. I felt so bad for Gina because she was apologetically trying to explain the reason why a 16” pizza was $50. I doubt very much I will be going back for pizza. For me, It wasn’t worth it. But Gina will definitely get to serve me again when I go back to try other dishes before I make my decision to continue to patronize the establishment or completely file it under the “Never to visit again”...
