I went to Michocana Y Mas for the 1st time a few days ago and ordered Mangonada. Antonio, the owner, has been at the location for 4 years now. Michocana Y Mas is located inside a small mini mall at the corner of Archer and Sayer. Tubs of different flavored ice creams, paletas and chocolate dipped paletas and frozen chocolate covered bananas adorn the glass covered counters. Among the house made ice creams, Michocana Y Mas serves hot foods like tacos and tortas among other items. Antonio was very friendly and suggested I try the Mangonada with a mix of Mango and Passion Fruit ice cream. He gave me a sample of the passion fruit and it was sour with a hint of sweetness. I didn't mind the small seeds and the sourness contrasted well with the smooth sweetness of the mango. If you have an adventurous palate, try the Mangonada. It's a delicious blend of smoothly-cold sweet, spicy and salty flavors. Chunks of sweet mango fruit also adorned the top of the Mangonada along with a candied tamarind straw.
I also tried a chocolate dipped coconut paleta ice cream bar. I love chocolate covered ice cream bars and this didn't disappoint. When you take a bite you 1st get the crunch of the peanuts then you taste the smooth chocolate and sweet...

I love coming here now! Finally a place where they have fresh fruits! I love the new staffs they have now.They are so friendly! Last time I asked for one scoop and they gave me so much! I love their ice creams, they are so addictive! Their prices are understandable because they fill up your cup and their fruits are fresh! I rather pay fair amount money for the quality AND quantity.

My boyfriend and I wanted to go to a local Michoacána last minute at night but got stuck by a train so we wouldn’t have made closing time at 10. This Michoacána happens to be open until 10:30 and even though it was a 30 min drive it was well worth the drive. The attendants are pleasant and attentive. We got a yogurt con fruta, a chicharrón and mangonada and left satisfied. Everything tasted fresh and delicious....
