Pizza by Geneo's — Restaurant in Lake Township

Buckle up for the most horrible pizza nightmare- the pizza saga you've ever heard! Picture this: after a journey that felt longer than a Tolkien novel (despite being just 10 minutes away), our much-anticipated pizza finally made its grand entrance a whopping 1 hour and 45 minutes later.

The first horror? Our “thick crust” pizza was a Frankenstein creation with two thin crusts glued together by what seemed like rebellious butter. The moment we picked it up, it staged a dramatic breakup, falling apart with gusto. The crust was cold, the top was warm, a sure sign of some pre-heating sorcery. Some parts were as rock-hard as a medieval castle wall—hello, frozen dough!

But wait, there's more! We found their trusty plastic pizza grabber tucked in alongside an extra piece of paper, as if they thought we needed a little stationery for the house. How generous!

Just when we were about to cancel due to the epic delay, we decided to wait it out. No tip for this odyssey, though! The delivery guy—let's call him Mr. Baldy—was not impressed with our lack of gratitude for the tardy service.

After this pizza-lasagna escapade, we're officially done. Off to the reviews we go, confirming what seems to be a treasure trove of similar horror stories....

I do not speak nor write in Spanish. I hope Google can translate this. This is a takeout / delivery place. Very efficient, very timely . Nice manager, extra nice delivery men. I love their Pizza. I told the manager that his pizza is as good as a few of the places in the South Western suburbs of Chicago, and to me, that's saying a lot! What I like most about them is that he cuts the vegetables THIN, this way I can order a number of different ones with a meat and it's not sloppy and falling all over. Also, you get more he covers the entire top with them. Other stuff. The other day I had a shrimp dinner. It was fabulous. I'm telling you his FRYS ARE BETTER THAN McDs, for real. But by far, what you must get is an order of his ONION RINGS! These are better than WC's, really! The other item I have ordered is Baked Mostaccioli, I get mine with sausage. This in my opinion, is the dinner that is overpriced. Everything else he has is a competitive price. One big point I'd like to make is that I noticed that many of the food places in the area are heavy with the grease they use. Not this place! Everything is clean and perfectly fried. Well...

I love their pizza & have been buying here for quite a while but I’m extremely disappointed on the past two orders I’ve picked up. I ordered pizza & and order of fries about three weeks ago & they made me wait about 10 minutes more after the time they told me it would be ready for fries, now I don’t mind if you’re making me wait if that means I’m getting my food fresh. The fries were fresh but the bag was about halfway filled! I thought maybe it was an accident point is i tried to find an excuse for the fries being filled halfway. Today i ordered a pizza & an order of fries again. Completely disappointed once again!
