Taqueria Don Chilo Restaurant — Restaurant in Lake Township

This place has a whole new staff and owners, I can no longer give it 5 stars.

Why? They eliminated half the menu, everything is covered up or scratched out, they raised prices on everything, they eliminated some specials or changed some specials like can’t get steak with taco special, and the food/cooks are worst, you’re serving worst food but wanna raise the prices. Sad. This place got its good reputation from the old staff not these people.

When I order a special and ask for a bottle of water instead of soda they want to charge me, when the old staff would just substitute.

Edit 7/2019: they finally updated the scratched out menus but the food is still poor and the prices are higher than ever. And they don’t work with you at all with your request, still the same limitations I described. I just stopped coming here but it’s just sad knowing how great this...

I rarely write reviews but this food was terrible. My children had chicken quesadillas and their stomachs began to ache shortly after they began eating. I ordered the fish taco dinner and I could tell the fish was not fresh a d had been microwaved. Additionally the green salsa tasted old. I called to complain and was told that it was nothing wrong with the food 🙄 the manager said I could bring the food back in the morning for a refund I'm only in town for a few days so I'll just take this L and throw this disgusting stuff...

Worst service I've experienced at this establishment was just the other day. After ordering a few tacos I asked for some limes. Limes go with tacos like ketchup goes with fries. He told me yes, its 35 cents. They never charged me before but whatever, I didn't mention that but I did say all i have is a ten. His response, " thats not my problem". Not sure why he responded is such a rude way but I guarantee I won't be back and until he is gone, I would advise going up the street for tacos.. btw. The fries are always...
