Taqueria La Hacienda — Restaurant in Lake Township

First time visitor here. I work all over the Chicagoland area and always trying new taco spots and this was no different. I was greeted very politely and asked to take a seat anywhere. No wait time at all and the front lady brought a menu,chips and salsa on the house which is always a plus. The chips were fresh and the salsa was freshly made and still warm to the touch. I had an horchata to drink and it was very delicious. For food I got 2x Al pastor,1 Lengua and 1x steak.(Steak taco not shown in picture). Lengua was very delicious. Tortillas were good and had a crisp to it. The steak and al pastor not so much,which made me sad because I really wanted to like them. The steak had a normal steak texture but no flavor whatsoever. The al pastor tacos tasted reheated and not fresh.If you had reheated taco meat before you know what the taste and smell is. Overall place was very friendly, the vibe was ok nothing special. I went on a Friday around lunch time and place was dead,only one table was busy and a few people sitting at the bar.Most importantly the food was not great,only meat that was good was the Lengua. I will not be coming back here and would not recommend this place, there is taco spots on every block so finding good tacos...

I ordered a lengua burrito and received a steak burrito, I didn't know I had gotten the wrong burrito until I took a bite. I go back and ask the cashier if I could be given the correct burrito, she states that since I took a bite from it I had to keep it and wouldn't be given the right burrito. I ask for her name and she says "Claudia," I then proceed to ask for the managers name and she says "Claudia." I'm already bothered I wasn't getting my correct burrito. Cmon, why lie! Turns out her name is Maria, if that's even her real name. To top it off, the steak had no flavor what so ever, so if steak is what I ate it is gross with a lack of seasoning. Thank you for showing how horrible your customer service...

I’ve given this place the benefit of the doubt..8 times. They have messed up my order 6 of the 8 times that I’ve gone here. I’m a quiet customer, I would rather review this place where it matters most and that’s online, because I know that taking my matters up with the management won’t matter at this point. I live very close to this location and I like to grab a bite to eat for dinner after work, however, I will not be coming back here again. I just placed another order today and they couldn’t get this one right so that leaves me to bring my voice to the review section.
