Taqueria La Haciendita — Restaurant in Lake Township

This place needs a health inspector visit. First off there was flies everywhere. We noticed flies in the already cooked meat. The guy also had chicken sitting out with flies all over it we told him and he threw out two pieces and put it back away to make later. The trash can is right by the tablet they make the food on so tones of flies were coming from the trash on to the food.This "Cook" tried serving us the left out meat with flies already in it well cooking fresh meat so we asked him to give us the fresh meat he got mad through away the food he served. Then as he's cooking the new meat he cross contaminates the bread and raw meat. He didn't even cook the meat all the way it was very light and pink still so we asked him to cook it longer he made a dumb remark saying "it'll take a hr if I do that" we told him when we cook at home it doesn't take that long and he got bothered again. Some other guy came up and he gave him the raw meat in tacos knowing it wasnt cooked right. So as he's making our tortas another flying landed on the meat he was about to put lettuce on it when we pointed it out to him he just made the fly move and kept making it as if we'd want that so we asked him to replace that torta and he got mad and told us to get a refund. So we did and ended up making it at home. This guy shouldn't be cooking any food. The kitchen was beyond dirty and the flies were everywhere because the big trash can was right by the food. I don't know how this place is even open the cook knows nothing about food safety. Definitely eat here if you want flies in your food and a lot of cross contamination will definitely get sick of food poisoning. Will be contacting the health department this...

I'm a gringo that seeks out good authentic Mexican restaurants & markets & I picked this from others in area due to good reviews & I made the right choice! Muy bueno, muy Delisioso! Good was served very fast (couple mins after I sat down & ordered) friendly server,spoke enough English to accommodate me & prices were so low I ordered 2 items a Millaneza de Res torta (breaded steak sandwich) excellent with refried beans in it & a gordita combinada with both pollo (chicken) & Al Pastor (spicy pork), all hot fresh & delicious with cilantro,bold flavor, those & a banana oatmeal chocolate shake for only $12.60,total! Came to eat with my husband after a long day at work. His food was ordered as listed: breakfast with meat, one coffee, a water, and a torta de lengua. My husband’s food came, minus the meat, and an extra order of coffee. I mentioned to the waitress that he did not order an extra coffee and she rolled her eyes at me as she said “ he said he wanted one too” then stormed off. The meat came about 5-10min after the initial realization that it had not been served. Then his plate had a piece of hair in it. The food I had was really good but the server’s attitude towards the issues at hand did not help. Last I checked tips are what makes or break you, do better.
