The food was good. Prices were too high for the portions in my opinion. Not a lot of items on the menu. Walked into the restaurant with my child and husband as the rest of our party (4 people) was on the way 10-15 mins. Initially we understood there was no reservations available, however, the hostess 3-4 of them said they could accommodate us since we had a little one under 2 and our party was about 10 mins away. They sat us down and one of the hostess sat next to my husband and told him in a condescending manner that he needed to learn to listen because he said he would accommodate us but only if we were certain our party was really close. Then the owner or manager walked up and basically told the hostess guy in front os us that no they cannot accommodate us because our party wasn’t here yet and this prompted my husband to call the rest of our party to see how close they were, I was literally standing there at that point with my child in my arms waiting to see if they were going to make us go back outside and wait or if they were actually going make an exception, at this point my husband walked outside to talk to our party and I watched the owner/manager walk up to the hostess people and basically lecture them about not seating us or others because that was a first come first serve business. Understandable, but there were plenty of seats available and at this point our party was literally parking. We decided to go back to our car as I didn’t just wanna stand there at this point and be in the way of people. By the time we got to our car our party was already walking in. We then SAT IN THE SAME TABLE THEY INITIALLY SAT US IN (table in the middle of the restaurant, closest to the door). And as we were getting comfortable and taking coats off, we decided to place my child’s coat on an empty seat at our table (chair closest to the host station) which then prompted the same hostess that was rude to my husband earlier to tell us we were not allowed to put our things there as that was HIS seat, mind you this was the table they sat us in and he never once sat in “his seat” that was at our table! The only reason we decided to stay and actually eat at this establishment despite our experience was because our party was already seated and we hadn’t had the chance to tell them the full story until after they got there and we were already seated. The waitresses were great but I truly didn’t feel any sense of hospitality from the beginning. After leaving we were still discussing the experience and have agreed to not visit this...

I was referred here while in town for a conference. I took an Uber and was excited to enjoy the much raved breakfast menu. Upon entering, the host told me that I had to reserve a spot on the notebook/computer next to him. After inputting my info, the screen went back to "would you like to make a reservation?". I asked the host if that screen change meant my reservation went through or I had to do it again. Instead of answering the question, he asked me if I'd checked my phone. Being unclear in what my phone had to do with their equipment, I rephrased the question. He then got smart-alecy and said something along the lines of, "well, IF you check your phone you'll know" 😲 I once again advised that I was simply trying to understand how their equipment or reservations worked since he was standing right by it. He then told me to simply check my phone. I located my phone while advising him that "we need to be nice and not ruin what I'm hoping to be a positive experience". He then told me he's always nice and walked away...since I did see a reservation text from yelp. All of THIS happened before we even got a table. Terribly disappointing. I think host duty is not for this person. Shortly afterwards, a lady came by and asked my party to wait outside. I'm happy that the 2 days of rainfall had ended otherwise I'd have left. Afterall, who wants to stand outside without even an awning. Thankfully the wait was under 10 minutes and we were escorted to our table. My server, Tim, was 👏🏾 amazing. Personable, attentive, and got the orders right even with my companion's special requests. The food came out steaming hot from the kitchen and was delicious. Yay!!! This review would be 4-star had the impression through the door not been so unwelcoming. While waiting on my meal, I can across another review who also negatively experienced this person. This venue needs to reassign and/or release this employee. He is not a good...

This is by far the best breakfast that my husband and I have ever eaten no exaggeration and we've been to many restaurants around the world!! It was our 8th wedding anniversary and our first time visiting Chicago so I was looking at some breakfast places to eat at while we were here and after seeing so many great reviews decided to check them out! I called prior to get more information about the hours etc. and was told that they fill up quickly on the weekends so to come as early as possible! We made it a point to be up and be there in time when they opened to avoid the long wait, but even as we pulled at opening time we saw a line outside door waiting for them to open, so we knew it has to something special, and it was!!! The service and hospitality were impeccable! It is also BYOB which was perfect as we had a bottle of champagne in the car!! So needless to say the mimosas were on deck! Special thanks to our server Timothy who recommended this absolutely delicious Jambalaya omelet with the Flight French Toast and homemade chicken sausage! Everything came out in a timely manner hot and fresh! Tim was extremely pleasant and personable and gave us nothing less than amazing service!! We also want to say thank you to the amazing manager Frederick who was a great host and made our visit extremely memorable from start to finish! If you are visiting Chicago you have to come here or if you live there and have never been you absolutely have to go I promise you won't be disappointed!! Next time we're in town I know where we'll be going! Thanks you guys for everything see you when we're back...
