We had such a fun little experience here with our two little dogs! The park had some small plastic pools for the dogs to jump in, a hose for water, a water dish, benches for owners to sit on, and some big trees that provided some partial shade from the heat.

The park is located conveniently near the L. Unfortunately, because of its location, the park can get pretty loud when the L rumbles by. It doesn't stop the dogs from running around though!
There are lots of tennis balls around. There are also water fountains and poop bags. Benches are readily available for tired pet parents. A "time out" are is provided should your dog need it. There are trees that provide canopy against the sun. Street parking is convenient, though you might have to park a block away during peak hours. The park is surprisingly clean, and I guess we have the pet owners to thank. Everyone cleans up after their dogs as best as they could.

Read moreThe only dog park nearby so you have to go but unfortunately it is filled with many entitled owners who do not have any control whatsoever with their dogs. Most of the dogs are great but some of the dogs have no basic manners training at all and their entitled are standing across the park making no effort to ensure their dog is safe for the public in this public space. Just like with any dog park or public space, everyone should ensure safety by training their dog to do the bare minimum of being recalled and obeying a release command at all times. If a dog has not learned these two simple commands the dog, another dog, or a person can be hurt. If a dog has not learned these two simple commands at least some of the time spent at the park should be devoted to working on these skills to protect the dog and everyone else.
