I've been a fan of this place's Savanna Banana French Toast for years, but beware of online ordering for carryout through the restaurant.
We've usually ordered the Savanna Banana French Toast via delivery, along with one of the skillets to split. The only thing I wish was different about the food is the syrup. They don't give you real maple syrup, but I understand that it's expensive for restaurants to offer.
My first carryout experience today, however, was not the greatest. When ordering online the restaurant's form has an option for curbside service that actually isn't offered anymore. I had a taste for brunch this morning, and I remembered seeing somewhere in the past that Savanna offered curbside service. I chose to order online and get curbside since I was already out running errands, all of which involved drive up or drive thru since my dog was with me. If the restaurant didn't offer curbside, I probably would have just ordered delivery for after I got home, since I don't leave my dog alone in the car where I can't see her, or I would have gone to get carryout after taking her home first.
After pulling up to the restaurant, I called to say that I had a curbside order and had just pulled up. The woman who answered the phone just said, "You have to come in", not acknowledging that I had been in a position to select a curbside service that they couldn't fulfill. When I pressed, she responded that they don't have the service anymore. No apologies or explanation.
Ultimately, this was a minor inconvenience, and I understand oversights like forgetting to remove a delivery option from their online order form can happen, especially for small businesses. However, at the time, it felt like really poor customer service to not even acknowledge the mistake. At worst, it could be a bit a scam to get more tips. I'm always happy to leave some kind of a tip (usually a dollar or two for small orders) when picking up a carryout order in person, even though it's not standard practice, and I usually leave more if the order is especially large or complex. Today when ordering I chose to leave a tip based on the understanding that a staff member would be walking my order to me instead of me coming in to get it, which is of course additional service. And this is on top of the restaurant passing on a $1.50 "convenience fee" to the customer for...
Read moreWhere do I start. My GF and I wanted to try a new restaurant, so we came here on 09/21/2025. Was seated outside. No problem. Spoke with the waitress, who didn’t tell us her name, about ordering a Margarita. The waitress suggested one so I said, I’ll try it. Drink came out and it did not taste great. After that sip I just put it to the side. Waitress came out and asked if I liked it. I guess she notice it was not touched. Told her it did not taste great. She then said “did I want to try another one” which made it seem like since I didn’t drink this one, we can switch it out. I said sure, I’ll try the mimosa. Here’s where it the foolery happened
She came out with the check. Grabbed my card and paid. I should’ve looked at the bill first My GF noticed that the Margarita was still on the bill. She asked why that it was still on the bill, since she didn’t not mention that I still will be charged after she offered if I wanted another. The waitress then said that she can speak with her manager. After she spoke with her manager, she pretty much said there’s nothing else that can be done. The waitress then asked if we wanted to speak with the manager, we said yes.
Manager came out and did not introduce herself. Just asked if we wanted a receipt. We explained to her that “staff” DID NOT mention that I would be charged since she offered to try a new beverage. The Manager stated we don’t do tasting, where we responded with I wasn’t trying to taste it, it just wasn’t made well. After going back and forth again with the manger, she then offered us a refund. She came back and handed us our refund. No apology at all. Just handed us the refund and walked away
You never know who will enter your establishment, so be very mindful and respectful. As a manager, you should have customer...
Read moreMy first time in this place! What a mistake never again!!!!!! Sign outside says breakfast and lunch, I had limited time for my lunch so figure I can pick up a quick meal to go. Walked in and asked for traditional eggs benedict, the waiter pointed to 4 different choices of eggs benedict on the menu so I asked again for traditional eggs benedict then he asked if I want the side salad, thought it was weird so I again said no all I want is traditional eggs benedict. My bill was $40 and I even tipped the guy on “to go order”. Came back to work, check my order and this is what I got (see picture attached and also attaching an additional picture of actual eggs benedict so maybe the management can train their employee better based on pictures!) I actually called and informed the person that my order was wrong and they guy said no that’s right and he didn’t even offer to refund my money or even offer for me to talk to someone in management! Don’t see a point in going to places like this and spending this much money on breakfast when I can go to McDonald’s and actually receive what I ordered for a fraction of the price and even receive better...
