There are a lot of bars and restaurants along this strip of Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. Many of them are fine to go to, and good places to have a beer and get drunk or to what a game. However, none of them are as good or as unique as H & C Pour House. First, their beer selection is great. They have a lot of local, Chicago craft beers. On the evening that went, I ordered a beer form Middle Brow. Middle Brow is a small craft brewery and restaurant in Logan Square and I would not expect to find their beers in a bar on Lincoln Ave. Second, their food is amazing. It’s all made from scratch, in-house. I went with my wife and we order a flat bread, cheese curds, salad nachos, the H & C Burger and dessert dumplings. The H & C burger was delicious and the salad nachos where a fun and light take on traditional nachos. However, if you got the flat bread is a must order. Third, the atmosphere is fun and inviting. I feel this bar/restaurant has something for everyone. On the night we went, they hosted a trivia night with the theme of the TV show New Girl. While I’m not a fan of New Girl, and trivia really night really isn’t my thing, I can see how many people would have fun doing this. I did appreciate that they have many TVs, and that I could watch sports. Fourth, service is excellent. Our server was super nice and our food came out fast and hot. In sum, this a must visit bar in Lincoln Park.

Great restaurant and the love of cheese! Great beers on tap and a fantastic assortment of cheese menu items! Wisconsin has nothing on Hops & Curds cheese curds! We found out about Hops & Curds while attending the Depaul Lady Blue Demons victory over Marquette. Go Blue Devils! Great promo - opposing team misses two free throws in a row and you get to taste the fabulous cheese curds! The stadium was rocking to make noise to miss those shots - chants of "cheese curds, cheese curds - hops and curds"! John was very attentive as was Justin and everyone working together. A great restaurant!!❤

What a dandy place. The hops options are great. You are not forced to choose between 4 IPAs. The curds are excellent. So, as far as the name goes, spot on. Be advised there is not a wine menu, but there is a bar with spirits. We were there on a Friday night. It was not very crowded, which I after eating there I am a bit surprised. It's a great establishment. The atmosphere is comfortable, yet still a bit trendy. There is plenty of outdoor seating. The service was excellent. Dr. Pepper is a theme and they have a Dr. Pepper inspired ketchup. maybe next time.

Truly, this is a gem hidden in the city. I attend an annual conference in Chicago. As someone that lived in the area, I try to convince those attending this conference to leave the loop and enjoy the neighborhoods.

On a Saturday night, I brought a group of 10 to H&C Pour House. It was the best decision the whole trip. The previous night, we ate at a restaurant where $300 left you hungry, sober, and disappointed. For less than $20 per person, everyone got a meal that they said was the best of the entire trip - they were full on a delicious dish. Furthermore, the appetizers were outstanding and came to the table quickly. Perhaps most impressive, the drink selection was outstanding and reasonable. The Malört gag has had its day (I miss the $2 Chicago handshakes); H&C Pour House has a Malört cocktail that is actually good! Plus, there are a ton of local brews on taps and local spirits for delectable cocktails.

What really makes H&C Pour House special is the staff. When our group got there we were greeted with cheer. The staff showed us different areas we could sit in, got tables put together for us, spent time leading us through the menu, and shared knowledge about the source of all our food and drinks. We all know the service industry has been hit hard. We also know that service has changed across the industry. H&C Pour House's staff is friendly, inviting, and responsive to the needs of their guests. Truly, they make customer service a priority but it doesn't feel like customer service - it feels like your friend having you over.

Needless to say, our trip to H&C Pour House made converts out of us. Next year, when we are back for the conference, we plan to come for another dinner and to bring more...

My boyfriend and I visited your establishment last night (5/20/2022) and had Izzy (sp?) as our server. They were amazing. The bartender whose name we didn’t catch was also just so unbelievably pleasant! The food… don’t even get me started on the food… we had the poutine to start and my boyfriend is a poutine enthusiast (self-proclaimed connoisseur) and he said it was the best he’s ever had. I run a cheese curd Instagram acct so I love some curds, and undoubtedly have to agree.

I got the grilled cheese and he got the burger. Both some of the best we’ve ever had. I tried the dr. Pepper old fashioned, what a fun spin on a classic drink! And the dr. Pepper ketchup was so good I went out of my way to text my friends who live here and who do not, how good it was!

Also, the soap in your bathrooms was the best smelling soap I have ever smelled. I literally looked it up to purchase it when we left. The fun craft beer labels in the bathroom were fun too!

You have an amazing spot with a fantastic and kind staff and incredible food. We hope to earn the title of...
