Ludlow Charlingtons Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Lake View Township

What a delightful place with the most delicious coffee! From unique and beautiful decor to incredible lattes, this place is an ideal coffee stop. It's a small business that also sells pastries and  bags of whole bean coffee (which he offered to ground on site!) and works towards giving back. They even had t-shirts, tumblers, and reusable straws available for purchase and adorable stickers on the counter to take home for free! Not to mention several people were on their laptops and there was a printer available! The business owner was the barista himself and was so kind, patient, and dedicated to producing high quality products and a delightful experience. It was hard to believe this business has only been open for just under half a year with how amazing the service and products are. There was even a clean (and stylish) bathroom! Additionally, there were plenty of vegan and decaf coffee accommodations. We walked to the amazing (and free!!) Lincoln Park Zoo after our visit.  I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

I personally just find detailed reviews incredibly helpful, especially when looking for certain amenities. I also love everything this business stands for as it is evident they are dedicated to being conscientious consumers in their business practice (for example, having certified B corporation coffee beans.)  Seriously, go check this place out. My fiancé and I decided to check out this cute dog themed coffee shop after a brief visit at the Lincoln Park Zoo on Friday 3/18/22. We got caught in the rain and we were looking for a nice coffee shop to stop at until the rain subsided. We were both extremely satisfied with our beverages and the impeccable service we received while we were there. The barista, sorry I didn’t catch her name, had a wonderful attitude and she was very warm and welcoming. We loved the ambiance of the coffee shop because it was very cozy inside, and we loved the decor of unique portraits with dog faces. When we received our in house orders (I ordered the honey lavender latte and he had the chai latte) both of our orders were delicious and presented beautifully. UPDATE: I've had coffee here several times already. Every time I've come, the lovely barista Dafne is there to serve you, and the place emanates positive, good vibes, which is welcoming to everyone. Today the pumpkin latte was perfect!

This coffee shop offers delicious coffee and pastries aside from their mission to help homeless dogs. Even those that aren't avowed dog-lovers (like me -- I prefer cats and horses), can appreciate the fact that these dogs are being adopted and hopefully given a loving home. The pictures of the rescued dogs, in full regal garb, which hang on the walls are amusing and uplifting.
