Parson's Chicken & Fish is a fantastic restaurant located in Lincoln Park, Chicago. The moment you step inside, you are greeted with a laid-back atmosphere that feels like you are at the beach. The bench seating and casual vibe make it the perfect spot for a casual dinner with friends or a quick lunch break. But what really sets Parson's apart is their delicious chicken sandwich. The chicken is cooked to perfection it is so juicy that it nearly melts in your mouth. The sandwich is piled high with crispy lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and tangy pickles, all nestled between two soft buns. The sandwich is not only delicious but also very filling. It's an upscale version of the Popeyes sandwich, if you like that one you will love this one for sure. In addition to their famous chicken sandwich, Parson's also offers a variety of other menu items such as burgers, fish sandwiches, fries, and all traditional American food. Their burgers are cooked to perfection and are a great option for those who are looking for something other than chicken. The fries are crispy and well seasoned. The restaurant also features a full bar, with a great selection of beer and wine. They also serve signature cocktails that are perfect for sipping on while you enjoy your meal. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure that you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. Overall, Parson's Chicken & Fish is a must-try for anyone visiting Lincoln Park. The atmosphere is casual, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. If you're looking for a great spot for a casual dinner or lunch, Parson's is the place to be. I would definitely recommend this...
Read moreI was really surprised by this place. My friends and I, we went for fry fish craving. Not disappointed at all, was to die for, and the ranch French fries amazing good. I'll be back for fry chicken. Staff and sever very friendly, clean place, nice environment inside with picnic tables and a lot of plants 🪴. I'm definitely coming back.
Well, I came back as I promised on May 5th with two new friends. But this time, we had an issue with the server and the bartender. I went with two new friends to show them the place, first timers. After we ordered drinks and food, the server came two times with the wrong drinks; a beer can for the first time and a beer 🍺. We ordered a beer pitcher. That's OK she was the only server for the whole restaurant at lunchtime. Understandable. So the food came was great. My friend ordered a lemon margarita when the drink came was served on whiskey glass instead of margarita glass. I asked the server why, and she told me : "This place is not a Mexican restaurant," a very rispid way to tell us as must say. I knew this place wasn't Mexican since we got here in the first place. Immediately, my friends want to leave. They are very astonished and upset with the rudeness from her. We paid and my friend asked to talk to the bar manager. To my surprise, he got the same bad attitude as the server. Very rude. Unfortunately, we have plans to come back next week with a party of 12 to 15 people, but we're not coming back anymore. I left very disappointed 😞 with this place after I spoke so highly of...
Read moreI think this is the second review I’ve ever left (outside of just clicking 5 stars on a place).
Had a weird experience where I went there to pick up an online order on Grubhub (but this was a Parsons issue).
Decided to sit at a table as it was going to take awhile (no big deal, I wanted a drink anyways and was just enjoying a nice evening). Once seated, the guy who initially sat me at the table ignored me for over an hour after getting me an initial drink - weird but whatever they were pretty busy. What is frustrating is the server who was hanging around serving the other 5 tables in the area around me, coming around multiple times (even changing out a table and seating another group). He never looked in my direction - I was apparently invisible. I did a quick hand wave one of the times but I’m not going to go out of my way to do more than that, because whatever Parsons waiter guy, so I left money on the table for the beer and left.
Needless to say I never got my food and I’m now at home an hour later and the order in still pending on Grubhub and the restaurant is closed. Yes, of course I could have said something or called once home but something was just so smug about the way the waiter wasn’t attempting to make any money (20% above which would have been a tip) that made me shrug and say “okay I’m not worth your time? Then you don’t deserve...
