I'm a native Chicagoan who was transplanted to the west suburbs. I've been coming to Pete's my entire life (44yrs old), and even tho I now have to drive- it's still worth it! IMO- the family sausage is where it's at! The crust is not too thin- not too thick either- it's perfection! The sausage- 1st off, I don't even usually like pizza sausage, but this is a magic blend of meat and spices made for a pizza! It's fuggin magic! Now, the sauce might be my favorite! Not too thick ot thin either - some tomato in there, too. Good quality mozzarella to finish it off because there is no such thing as good pizza unless the cheese is good quality and melts right. Thank you, Pete's, for being you, no matter what the world has had going on, and never changing for anyone or anything. You are the same Pete's I grew up with, and sometimes having you to go to makes life.. well it makes it better. Easier on bad days to know I will at least be satisfied after I eat. Gives all the right feels. Not just anyone or anything can do that. Hats off. 6 flags. 5 stars. Applause. Standing ovation. Now I'm literally salivating and see an hour drive in my future! Thank you, Pete's! Sidenote- best staff, front AND back of the house- and delivery drivers that DELIVER! Never had a cold pizza in the 35 yrs I was having em delivered! Ever.

I stopped going here 10 years ago because of the staff and now recently started to order for delivery since I wanted to try something else from the other pizza places in the area. Been ordering since this summer. Now today I ordered a large sausage that took over a hour and a half . After I paid for it and mentioned to the delivery driver that it is a medium and the receipt said large . He took the receipt looked at it . I told him to wait till I called it in and je took off with the receipt. I called to complain . Was told that they will deliver a large within the hour and that since they dont believe me that it is a medium they want it to see it and not to touch it . Thinking I can at least have a piece or 2 thinking i am so hungry. I will not be ordering from here anymore. Already did it once . There is Johns and Gigios that have been around longer then this place and taste a lot better. I Wish Barry's spot never closed

I've been coming here since high school, and it’s always been consistently delicious. The morning slice deal is still super affordable, and the pizza never misses—crispy, cheesy, and just the right amount of grease. On my most recent visit, there was a new bartender—an absolute beefcake named Mike (or maybe Michael?). Honestly, between the killer food and the view behind the bar, it's hard to know what to focus on. They’ve got these big garage-style windows that let in tons of light, but trust me—you won’t be taking your eyes off the bartender. Mike recommended the pulled pork sandwich, and let me tell you—it blew my mind. You wouldn’t expect a pizza joint to have one of the best pulled pork sandwiches in Chicago, but here we are. Do yourself a favor and try it. And hey—don’t forget the RORO Battle Pass.

Family ordered two pizzas to dine in. One was delivered to the table and we waited for the other. And waited. And waited. Server said it would be a few minutes. And we waited. Server came back and said the pizza would be right out. And we waited.

Server came back again and informed us that the pizza had been given to a delivery driver by mistake and they would have to cook another. And we waited. Server came back and said it would be another 10 minutes. Then she corrected herself and said it would be 12 minutes. Then a manager shuffled over and mumbled something about 5 minutes and asked if I wanted a beer. I was already on my second soda so I declined. And so we waited.

Finally after 30 minutes of waiting, the pizza was delivered. It was fine. Nothing special. If that’s the “best pizza in Chicago” like people claim, then I’m about to be sorely disappointed in my previously held expectations for Chicago pizza. Manager wandered back out after we finished eating and mumbled something else about a discount. Couldn’t quite catch it. He again asked if I wanted a beer. By that time I was just ready to leave. We got the bill and they had taken something like 25% off one of the pizzas. Whoopee. We still tipped the server 20% because it wasn’t her fault. But you’d think that a pizza place that has been business almost 70 YEARS might, you know, have some kind of system in place where they don’t give dine-in pizzas to delivery drivers. Seems reeeeeeeal basic to me. Like, the worst pizza places I’ve ever eaten at still managed to figure out how to take the pizza from the kitchen to my table. But I’m no pizza expert...

As far as atmosphere goes, during our interminable wait, we were able to enjoy Pete’s current avant-garde decor approach of paint literally peeling from the walls. Gave it a real rustic vibe...

This was our first time at Pete’s. See if you can guess if there will be a...

CORRECT AND EXPAND, PLEASE ChatGPT Of course! Please provide the text you'd like me to correct and expand.

Petes Pizza, so, we decided to visit Petes Pizza again recently, and the place is absolutly great! Of course the pizza is absolutly delicious, just not the service. I was suspicious of the waiter since he did not write anything down, sure enough he got it wrong. We said no onions and half with pepperoni. we got it with onions and no pepperoni on either half. Everything elso we order was very good and the manager offered to get another pizza but, we were on a hurry and the pizza took a bit longer so we decline his offer. I like to recommend this place very much, we will comeback and is the waiter doesn't write anything down, I will ask him to do so. ChatGPT Sure, here is a corrected and expanded version of your text:

Pete's Pizza: A Delicious Experience with Room for Improvement

Recently, we decided to visit Pete's Pizza again, and the place is absolutely great! The pizza is, of course, absolutely delicious. However, the service left something to be desired. I became suspicious of our waiter when he didn’t write anything down. Sure enough, he got our order wrong. We specifically requested no onions and half with pepperoni, but our pizza arrived with onions and no pepperoni on either half.

Despite this mishap, everything else we ordered was very good. The manager kindly offered to make another pizza for us, but since we were in a hurry and the pizza had taken a bit longer than expected, we declined his offer.

I highly recommend this place and will definitely return. Next time, if the waiter doesn’t write anything down, I will make sure to ask him to do so to avoid...

UPDATE: I received a call today Sunday early evening from Debbie. She was very apologetic and professional. She assured me that my credit will show under my phone number, she was very kind and gave me a higher credit due to the inconvenience. Multiple neighbors order from Pete’s and have great service, therefore I hope and believe this is just something that happened during this difficult time due to being busy and understaffed. It happens. Debbie was very nice and made sure I was taken care of. Thank You!

I ordered a pizza from Pete’s through a web order. Requested to have it made well done. My pizza was not well done at all, crust was nowhere near done not to mention well done. I called, I spoke to someone and was assured I will have a credit placed under my phone number. Was told to make sure I call to be able to use the credit. Well here I am, I called Pete’s today to finally use my credit. At first the credit wasn’t found, then I guess it was — have no clue. I ordered a smaller pizza this Time with wings, at the end was told I will receive a $15 discount. Did not add up — my credit was to be for almost 25$ I was told “well we don’t see it here at all, so we are actually being nice by giving you this credit”. After explaining how this just isn’t right, I was transferred to a manager — was no longer even interested in ordering from Pete’s anymore. Manager said “ what are you talking about, we are crediting you for $15, and then it was a bunch of confusion from there after explaining the situation. At this point I just hung up, so...
