If you're going to leave a 0% GO TO MCDONALDS. I say we did leave a tip? It's on the table and he yells WELL ITS NOT THERE. And leaves then I run in and take 1 look at the table and our tip is there THEY CLEANED THE TABLE AND THEY STILL DIDNT SEE IT??? Anyways I say SIR. I am very particular about food quality and consistency, so of course I tried the food again. It was exceptional again. Fast forward ten years and I have now had many things on the menu and generally stick to my regular order, but every now and then I'll order something new and it is always a. Delicious b. Excellent in quality c. Consistent d. Wont break the bank. Had not been to the new location (the restaurant was upgraded to a place with a full bar and moved down the street) so I was having some friends come in from Barrington and thought that I would take them to the new location. Two days before that, I had left my very first (and last) text review on GrubHub and got a response the next day from the owner (whom I had never met prior). My friends and I ate here Sunday and met Jimmy and let me tell you about this guy. He is the epitome of hospitality. Very down-to-earth, relatable, caring, most of all, passionate about food as, well as the preparation and quality of what he serves. After meeting Jimmy, I now know the reason that all of the food on his menu is consistent. My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Pizzeria Aroma in Chicago. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
We kicked things off with their handcrafted margaritas—balanced, fresh, and perfectly made. Then came the salads, which were far from your standard “simple” dinner salads. Each ingredient was neatly chopped, fresh, and beautifully presented.
For dinner, we ordered three gluten-free pizzas: a 10" gluten-free pizza for me, another 10" flat pizza with cheese, sausage, and veggies for my wife, and a medium cheese and sausage pizza to bring home for the kids. Every pie was flavorful, crisp, and clearly made with care—gluten-free or not.
To cap off the evening, we shared a slice of flourless chocolate cake sourced from a local, family-owned bakery. Rich, satisfying, and—like everything else—completely gluten-free.
Service throughout the meal was superb: attentive, friendly, and relaxed, which made our lazy 4th of July dinner feel like a real break from the grind.
