The best part of the experience was the sunny patio. The tables were dirty, the service was horrendous and the food was not edible I ordered the smash burger which was supposed to be a combo of chuck, brisket and shortrib and the meat was so tough i could not chew and swallow - i didn't even finish 1/4 of it. I also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer - which came AFTER they brough the smash burger and it was awful! They did not use the artichoke hearts (just the rough outer leaves that cannot be chewed). Good Grief! They make you use an app to order your food and PAY IN ADVANCE (including the tip) which I do not think is fair because if the food and service is awful, my tip (for service) will reflect it and I will not pay for food I do not eat! We had to go inside to order our drinks from a separate bar because there was no service (bartender) at the bar outside. Mind you - this was a sunny Friday afternoon in Chicago.... DO NOT...
Read moreI've been twice now - so I feel it's fair to review it. And welcome to the neighborhood - and thanks for opening early for the Bears' London game - it was a fun time for those of us who swung by this morning. When I came for dinner, I had the Smash Burger and the wife had the Fried Chicken Sandwich - both were good - a little odd that you order food from the app, but drinks at the bar. Also, a lot of the cocktails on the bar menu have lemonade in them - which as I found out this morning, is not the only thing they serve at the bar. The space is huge - plenty of room for you and your gang of hooligans to enjoy whatever sporting event they let you put on the tele. And I cannot understate this enough - the most comfortable bar stools in Chicago. You can literally spend 12hrs sitting in one of these things and still not want to get up when you need to take a piss. Can't wait to come back and try the wings when I'm hungry enough to eat...
Read moreWaited in line with a group of 4 for about 30-40 minutes…..a group of 15 guys show up and cut the entire line, while the bouncer is laughing and joking and lets them in. The presumed owner or manager comes out and thanks everyone for waiting, as they are “just super duper busy”. We make it to the front of the line, the first 2 of our group get let in no problem, them myself and the other of group are stopped by the bouncer. He said “Oh yeah we’re at capacity, it’s a real numbers game right now”……I asked him “Ok well what about the 15 guys you just let cut the entire line while everyone else has been waiting for a half hour plus?” He then turns to big manager hotshot and says “He’s not getting let in tonight”. All-Star Manager says “We’re not having that here, you’re not getting in. Step out of line”. Actually laughable to know that’s how they...
