Sammie's — Restaurant in Lake Villa

I would give 0 stars if I could. Walked in and the owner was SCREAMING AND SWEARING at his employees and being SO INCREDIBLY RUDE!! I felt so bad for his employees being treated so poorly. While waiting in line I noticed an elderly woman and child just looking shocked at this man's behavior. Every person sitting enjoying their meal was looking shocked and disturbed by this mans behavior. They all looked like they were ready to go. Heck, I almost walked out. If you need to talk to your employees you need to do it privately, not in front of EVERYONE! I felt bad because I had a good experience before and I brought my friend with me to try this place out. Easy to say them nor I will be returning to this place. I can't believe they can be open with the INHUMANE CONDITIONS that that owner puts his employees through. It is not fair to them. I want to let them know how SORRY I am that they have to endure that torture, there are better places out there boys! And looking at the reviews this is not the first time! I came back to work and told my coworkers about my experience. One replied, "he always does that" the other said, " I have never had a bad experience" 30 minutes later my coworker called me saying he just had the SAME EXPERIENCE! HE IS STILL YELLING 2 HOURS LATER! Now he won't be back! I'm sure everyone who witnessed the last 4 hours with this man will not be back either! WHAT IS WRONG...

I went into this place this afternoon and my god, I have never, in my LIFE, seen somebody so rude to their customers, and ESPECIALLY to their employees. I cannot believe that these people are putting up with this guys behavior. The man(owner?) was literally screaming orders out to his employees, and at his customers’ faces. Every person in the building was completely freaked out by this man’s behavior, and the employees were equally frightened, to the point of noticeable shaking. He was swearing at his employees while taking an order from an elderly woman and a small girl. I tried to confront this despicable man, but all he could say in response was “BYE SIR” over and over, while walking to the back of the building where I couldn’t see him, but could definitely still hear him. Horrible,horrible,horrible!!! Alright I worked for Sammie's 18 years ago and back then the food and sevice was great... Last night on 7/2/2017 we ordered 2 gyro's with everything and Fry's got no frys had to go back for them and the Gyro meat was shredded, dry and crispy not the way it should be. They put no sauce on the gyro's so I called them back yet again the supervisor got on the phone and was as rude as rude can be. He tried to tell me that the food was made by him and it couldn't be wrong... He refused to fix the order and told me to go elsewhere and eat from now on and that he didn't care and the order was right. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone ever again and Im going to give Sammie's zero stars for their food and service and I will never ever step foot in this restaurant again. That hurts to say because Sammie's was my favorite place to eat...
