Updated review: If you plan on going to this Dunkin be prepared to be told they don’t have what you want to order available. When I tell you every single time I come here they’re out of something it’s every. single. time. They’re either out of the strawberry donut, or the blueberry donut, or they’re out of croissants, or they’re out of bacon. I get it that sometimes its out of their control, but if this is a regular occurrence why don’t they just thaw out sufficient bacon? Or bake sufficient donuts? Or order sufficient food? I can’t imagine what it’s like dealing with angry customers every day that can’t get what they want cause they’re out. Some customers are ruthless. And it could all be prevented if they had their product in stock.
The workers are friendlier than before, I’ll give them that… and the drinks have been consistent recently as well.
Old Review: The workers at this Dunkin are lowkey rude when I go. They speak with such a monotone tone of voice, which I can understand how working at a place like this can drain you but it would be nice to be greeted with a better attitude and not be rushed/interrupted when ordering. The only reason I'd choose to go to this Dunkin is because at least they make the drinks correctly, unlike the Dunkin in Cypress. I stopped going to Dunkin a long time ago due to rude workers and inconsistent drinks, but decided to go today to try the new Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte. I took a screenshot of the drink from the app to remember the name before going there and when I ordered it they told me it was discontinued, which doesn't make sense because the drink is still on the app and I was looking straight at the drink on the drive thru menu. I asked again thinking maybe she misheard me but no, the drink is discontinued. I decided to just leave. This is not really a complaint about this particular Dunkin, but Dunkin as a company and as a whole. If a drink is discontinued, why is it still being advertised on the app and on the drive thru menu? Additionally, there needs to be better training on how to make drinks correctly and how to be nicer...
Read moreLiterally the worst place in lake Wales, possibly Polk county. I've held off reviewing this place for some time now, but this morning was the line. Many many times I've been here, both inside and out and it's ALWAYS something. They're out of cold Brew (at 7am), the order was incorrect, the inside is filthy, and most recently... I arrive at the drive thru at 4:45am, I wait for a few mins... Nothing. So I drive around to see if anyone is inside, alas there's a lady (assuming gender, I know) placing various things in the oven, she glances over her shoulder at me and continues to go about her work, so as I drive back around I check the hours of operation, 4-11 it says, figuring that since someone saw me, I will definitely get service. I sit in the drive thru for another couple mins... Nothing. I drive back to the window to observe the same lady doing her same activity, but lo and behold there is ANOTHER EMPLOYEE, surely the coffee gods have blessed my this morn, said employee walks past, looks at me and continues to the front. A bit annoyed, I assume maybe she's off to retrieve a headset. Approx 5 mins later the same employee, without a headset, walks back past the window carrying a box, looks at me and continues to ignore my presence at the window. It was at that time I decided I've had enough and left the property, vowing to never return again. I would love to hear some kind of defense for their ignoring my very existence. Even if the hours are incorrect, shouldn't you say, write, or use hand signals to communicate that you're not open yet, instead of allowing a (former) customer to sit there for over 10 minutes looking like a complete idiot and wasting their valuable morning time? The entire staff is terrible and this place sucks. AMERICA RUNS ON DUNKIN (Unless it's the lake...
Read moreWorst dunkin donuts I've been to. 2 trips in the last week, both were not pleasant and almost frustrating.
The manager who looks like a reject from a video game arcade was outside on his phone as I got out of my car, Keep in mind I am a 40ish professional and I drive a nice car, so I said hello as I get out... and he stared at me blankly and continued to talk on the phone. The girl inside was nice but was so unhappy with her job, she actually gave me my coffee for free and told me don't say anything to the manager ( Who was outside on a personal call). She was probably the nicest and most courteous part of the last few visits.
The 2nd time, going through the drive-through... I sat at the microphone for almost a minute when I came around the corner, after giving my order, there was only one car at the window, a young woman, her and the employee seemed to be communicating and laughing.... no big deal, I had to send an email anyways. After almost 2 minutes waiting behind that car I get to the window and the young black gentleman looked at me, and asked me what my order was.... Then proceeded to start making it, No one had even started on it. Then he has to come back TWO times to ask for the directions for an extra large coffee with extra cream extra sugar. He did not seem like he even wanted to be there, and he was very distracted by either his phone or something else.
Sadly I am not finding many places in Lake Wales that are professional or even courteous, what you would expect from a small Southern town.... I get better courtesy and service and cities such as Orlando and Jacksonville... unreal.
It seems like people are hiring the applicants who will work for the least amount of money, and not the ones who are actually intrested In growth...
