Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Lake Wales

Terrible service. Called back because we received wings that i was allergic to, now the wings are the only option i have in any pizza place because sadly i have limitations and allergies that keep me from ordering from regular places but wings have always been something i could get. They say (manager of hungry howies) oh the wings are made buffalo/ mild wings ( being the expected plain howie wings which i should be able to have), well you know what, if we would've known that....we would never risk getting those wings. All it just said howie wings which expected to be plain wings, since their not giving exact details. Maybe they should explain that their plain howie wings are still going to come with that type of flavor then make it seem like it was plain. Im so upset and pissed off more the way the manager acted towards it then anything. Because you know what i wouldve been more considerate and not written a poor review on a place when i know my alleriges are an issue, and i dont hold that against a place, but the way the manager made me feel like it was my fault. nope im sorry, but here is my first poor review to any place because of the allergies ive had and thats the fact i know i couldve sued burger king for sellin me a burger the employee promised had no sauce n came with sauce i was allergic to but at least they tried to make it better (fix the issue at hand) unlike howies. I am beyond upset and will never recommend anyone...

Yesterday evening, I placed a delivery order to my apartment. I cut the front porch light on so that way it will illuminate the sign with my apartment number on it. I called hungry Howies to see where my order was. They answered unprofessionally with just a simple hello when I told them that The pizza was never delivered and was calling to check on the status. The manager told me that the delivery driver said they tried to call couldn’t find us and that they’re not gonna bring the pizza back out to the apartment complex. When I say may I speak to a management member that is above them. They said that they’re the only one so that I can either get a refund to come pick it up myself so I went and picked it up and told them that I didn’t wanna refund. I just wanted the food and I wanted them to refund me back. My tip that I had gave to the delivery driver be a credit card online. He refunded it, but one of his employees was being very rude about the situation. In front of other customers. I was really embarrassed and felt uncomfortable, and the manager didn’t do anything but sit there and laugh with the employees. Worst experience ever. When Anissa was the manager there was never...

I used to order here often. I even call ahead of time and am told 25 minutes. So I usually go and run a few errands every time and by the time I get there, exact 25 minutes has gone by and I'm told my pizza will be another 10-15 minutes. Last few times, including today, my pizza wasn't what I ordered or it was burnt. Every time that happens, I'm offered a free pizza to make up for the mistake. THEY CANT EVEN TAKE TIME to remake a FREE pizza BETTER. I'm currently stuck waiting for my free pizza now 30 minutes later. If it doesn't come out perfect, they're going to have to start giving me refunds. Little caesars is better than this place. Looks like management needs an upgrade. I won't be coming back here unless I'm desperate for food. I work hard for my money, I'm not going to let this place rob me anymore. You want better pizza and service, go across the street and get you a hot and ready. This place has gone down hill since covid hit, and they aren't worth giving your business to. It's pizza, not rocket science. Management....take time to speak to your angry customers and stop leaving nice employees to relay...
