Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Lake Wales

Beware...... Marcos is a rip off!! We had a very bad experience with a delivery driver the very first time we tried Marcos delivery.....We contacted the store and the general mngr Quinton got on the issue immediately, he was apologetic and gave us a $50 credit to use in the future. We ordered for the first time last night since the issue, and didn't risk delivery so it was a carryout. We placed the order and used coupons ( as usual) order total was $28, when we arrived to pick up the order and told them again ( as we did on the phone when we ordered) that we had credit they looked it up under the phone # and said yes just a moment ( this was the female evening mngr) she went into the computer and removed the coupons and said " your total is now $43" !!!!!!!!! How can they do this just because you have a credit ??????? This is very poor business and we will be taking this further up the chain since Quinton doesn't seem to care this happened last night. MARCOS IS A RIP OFF ! There was also several young kids standing around the entrance to the store and was difficult to get inside then they migrated inside right around the door making it difficult to leave with your hands full of pizza boxes and 2 of them were Marco employees ( all could have been but just not on the clock). This is a poor way for a new business in a small town to start out. If you have other pizzerias you prefer id suggest staying with the old place and SKIP GOING TO MARCOS. They only got one star because you don't have the option of no stars. Very sad because they have potential and food is good if you get it while its hot but its not...

The piźza was good, even though it didn'thave the crust I requested.. The "plain" wings I ordered were smothered in the buffalo sause that was supposed to be on the side. The music that was playing was incredibly inappropriate for a public space.

There was a tall guy with a gray beard hovering in the front when we came back in to pick up our food... he didn't address us at all, even after we sat down to wait. The two customers that came in several minutes after us were greeted by him immediately. We saw what looked like our order waiting on the shelf, so my husband approached to ask if it was our food and gave his name. He didn't even look. Just said, "It'll be up soon." Then immediately turned and told someone else to hand us the order we had asked about, which was the one that had been sitting on the shelf when we arrived. He came off incredibly rude to people who were there for the first time and could potentially be new customers.

Next time we visit the area, this won't even be a place...

Tried ordering online with discount codes that came in the mail for this new location. Half the codes were invalid and made me not want to order at all. But I was willing to invite the negative reviews and give them a fair shake.

The pizza was ready for pickup fast. Walked in and out with it and box seemed messed up like poorly folded and wouldn't stay closed. Half way home I realized it was leaking. Apparently, they crushed the garlic sauce packet that leaked all over my vehicle....

The pizza itself was crispy and delicious. Ordered a pepperoni and bacon. I would order again however you should really train your staff on proper box folding procedures so no one has ruined vehicle interiors.. that's unacceptable . Had it not been for that it would have been 5* even with bogus...
