This is by far the worst Indian restaurant i have been, waiter seems to be in a rush, my husband and i got there about 5 min earlier than our group, told the waiter we are waiting for 4 more people, while waiting we ordered some appetizer which oddly came out 2 min later, (probably from their lunch left over, by the way the worst vege samosa i ever had). then our additional party came in, as soon as they sat down w/o giving them a menu waiter goes to the table and asked for our order, our friend told him geez let us get settled we don't even have the menu. he seems to be in such a rush, the restaurant only have 2 other customers. So we took our order and wanted to try the feast for two, before going there i had called to see if we can substitute some dish to what is in the feast and was told yes that is fine so we did, their "fest for 2" consist of lentil soup, tandoori chicke, chicken tikka, sheesh kabob, shimp tikka, malai kabab, lamb curry, vege of the day, rice, naan, choice of dessert, coffee or tea, so we asked to substitute the chicken dish to chicken korma and butter chicken,, waiter said ok but i can only give you 3 dish chicken korma, butter chicken and the lamb curry, so we said its fine, without giving us the option of keeping whats on the feast, went on and did our substitution of meal w/o telling us we are not getting the lentil soup, vege of the day the dessert and cofee or tea, he took it upon himself to omit everything in the feast over all! what a joke. So we asked ok what about dessert, what do you have they said oh we only have rice pudding. this waiter is a piece of work! so basically we had to endure worst indian food and the worst waiter on earth, i have never met anyone like him! AVOID this restaurant at all cost, take your business elsewhere, it is total waste of money, this...
Read moreIt’s so nice to start doing a review. I had no intention of doing when I came here for lunch today. Full disclosure over the past three years I’ve eaten here many times I’ve always felt it was pretty average for Indian restaurants, and the atmosphere may be a little gloomy Today when I walked in, the restaurant looks beautiful Maybe it’s because the tables are all set. Maybe the lights are a little brighter But it just feels “clean and bright, with a relaxing atmosphere. To my pleasant surprise, they had a goat curry on this Wednesday afternoon lunch buffet. I’m used to not seeing goat on Indian Buffet unless it’s the weekend…. A good reminder to always check the buffet completely before you start filling your plate…. (I took a piece of tandoori chicken I would not have)… I’d also put some of the butter chicken sauce over it and for the record it was delicious But for me, it is not Malik with goat curry! The Gobi was delicious. The goalie was perfect and as good as I’ve ever had anywhere.. They also had a zucchini vegetable dish. I did not catch the name of the spices, but a zucchini could always be this good. I would eat a lot more of it.. It’s relatively easy to serve lunch, but the fact is Service could not have been better From a nice greeting seated at a nice table that I chose, and they were very attentive with my beverage and refill my water. They were sure I had lemons for it as I had requested, and they brought none from the kitchen, which I wish I had thought to tell them Not to make for me since I did not want to fill up on bread with this great food ! A wonderful assortment of desserts too, especially for a weekday and a very reasonable price. Is good or better than any other Indian restaurant I’ve been at from Boca Raton to Wellington. I will get it back on my regular circuit for...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusted with the service I received from Flavor of India. Completely baffled by the lack of respect for women by the DoorDash customer service rep.
Ordered food from here tonight around 5:30pm. I waited, and waited and waited some more to be informed my order was ready for pick up. Almost two hours passed, so I called DoorDash and asked if I was going to be able to pick my order up or not, or if I should cancel. I was informed my order had been sitting in the pick-up window for over an hour waiting to be picked up. I was utterly confused because I never got confirmation to have the order picked up.... DoorDash then connected me and Flavor of India on the phone to have a conversation about the order, during which I was completely berated, screamed at and told I was incorrect and IT WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW WHEN TO PICK THE ORDER UP.
The man on the phone was screaming at me so loudly and so violently that the DoorDash agent had to disconnect the call and apologize due to the lack of respect this man had for a customer and on top of that, agreed he did need to inform me the order was completed. Therefore, placing him in the wrong YET AGAIN.
I will NEVER order from this place ever again and I will happily tell every single person I know to never order from here again due to the lack of respect for customers.
I'm not sure if you're aware, Flavor of India, but without paying customers you don't have a leg to stand on.
Have...
