Mama Gizzi’s is an original culinary experience for South Florida! Located in a discreet Lake Worth location, the treasures are discovered once you walk through the door! First and foremost, the main and most important treasure is Mama Gizzi herself who, upon entering, more than likely, will be in the kitchen whipping something creative and delicious up. Her charming personality is contagious as she goes into detail about her pasta and her life. You can tell that she puts a lot of heart in her creations. The quality of the food here is top-notch and it’s created and served in a no-frills, market/take out environment with partially filled, refrigerated food displays and a chalkboard menu. Mama explained to us that she makes pasta and other Italian favorites for the public and as a wholesaler for A-list, local establishments and, after tasting her delicious pasta I can see why she is successful! I’ve probably passed by here a hundred times not knowing what I was missing out on. She had several pastas in the case which I bought (fettuccine, pappardelle, cavatelli and Spinach ravioli) and she gave us a “sample” of a unique pasta - all of which were amazing and all for less than the price of one meal at some of the locations she caters to. Being an Italian New Yorker, and not a stranger to the kitchen, I like to think that I know a thing or two about quality Italian food. I absolutely love this place. I went to a restaurant in Delray and overpaid for some pasta, but it was so good I had to try to find another option. I looked everywhere for a place to buy something similar or have it made; thank God for Mama Gizzi. She is incredibly sweet and great at making pasta. I have continuously bought pasta stuffed with pears, marscapone, and ricotta. It is so good with alfredo sauce I make it’s insane. It’s hard to find good pasta that is reasonably priced for my Italian standards. Often it is not worth it to pay so much for something when I can make it just as well myself, BUT SHE IS TOO GOOD! ...

It isn’t a shop that’s open all the time you need to make contact to order what you would like to pick up . Mama Gizzi makes everything fresh to order . I have picked up freshly made pasta to cook at home and it was better then any pasta I ever had . Such a difference then store bought . I have also orderd a take and bake meal for family friends that had a recently had death in their family . It was all packed up perfectly so all my friend and all she had to do was pop the lasagna in the over . FYI Mamas home made breads...
