Let me first say I love the style this place has. Looks great, very clean and would pull in any would be potential customer from the road. The service however was so so. Mostly operated by teenagers. That’s to be expected at an ice cream shop but it seems like they had very little training. I watched multiple employees drop items on the floor they were working with and just pick them back up and use them again. The two employees we spoke to had zero customer service skills. Hardly looked up at us and did not smile the entire time. I’m normally not a stickler about these things but it was very noticeable here. We also heard while our order was being prepared the manager verbally yell at all of the employees for not getting peoples order correct. I’m all for correcting your employees if need be but not in a way where it publicly calls them out in front of the customers. That being said I do believe the two orders I’m front of us had to be remade because they were wrong. Our orders were fine with no issues. Now for the simple part. This custard was nothing great. Very basic. While the menu looks like it has a ton of options you will find out pretty quickly it’s mostly just chocolate and vanilla with a selection of toppings. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Just average. While I love the look and feel of this place there is nothing i experienced that would cause me to want to visit again. Sub par service and management. So so custard with a cool building. Cheers

Close early. Again, and again. Play stupid games - win stupid reviews. This is not the first, second, or third time I have taken the drive to Andy’s and found them closed early. Today is Saturday - and winter or not - the Sat hours are advertised in this sign, and online as 11:30pm. At 11:20pm (you can see the clock inside) this place was an already shut down and cleaned up ghost town. No one in sight. The custard is always consistent and very good. Service here has declined steadily since they opened. Sadly i help train companies on customer service and can be very tolerant of poor service as I know it stems from lack of training and over extending your team most of the time. Hire low payed teens and think they’ll care… you’ll quickly realize that without leadership your ship will sink. The last time we took the family, the cashier was extremely pushy and rude and we were there during a slow time. She rolled her eyes twice at the order and handed ice cream to my mother so hard it smashed open in my mothers hand and spilled. Another cashier apologized and fixed it. Now they just close early. I’ve been told “pandemic”, “not enough staff”, and I’m certain this time it’s “hurricane”. Too many times to make it ok. Culver’s and the New Rita’s are both open and have excellent custard. Bye Andy’s. See pic: closed and already locked up at 11:20p (clock in back) and advertised as open until 11:30pm. Just happens too often.

I went to Andy’s on a Sunday night there wasn’t too many people in line. I have see the line backed onto the street before. The restaurant has a cool concept with this open fresh outdoor type of ordering area. I could see in behind the register one lady was cleaning the equipment others were making orders and taking orders. The operations seemed efficient and my wait wasn’t long after I placed the order. I ordered a cookie Casanova sundae and it was great! I was a little disappointed with the small size but the cookie was warm and it was delicious. The presentation of the sundae was well put together. Covid protocol was being followed outside by guests and inside staff. The order taker really wasn’t that friendly. She was helpful and knowledgeable but a nice smile wouldn’t hurt. The other staff I encounter had a similar attitude. The best thing I discovered was the rewards program. Overall, the dessert was great.
