I love Dairy Queen and we go here all the time but I was charged $15 for a kids meal with an upgrade to a cheese and bacon fries and small milkshake! Are you kidding me?! I knew something wasn’t right with my total and the cashier seemed annoyed that I knew the way she rang it in was wrong. The upcharge for cheese and bacon fries should have only been about $1-2 not the price of the whole side which was $5 something. The upcharge to make the small included beverage to a milkshake should have been around $1 also. She said that’s the way the owner set it up and I said maybe it needs to be brought to his attention that that’s not right. So when they brought us our food, my chili dog was ice cold, fries were soggy and tasted undercooked— not crispy at all. The cheese and bacon fries had barely any cheese and bacon on them and fries tasted raw and undercooked (the cheese was barely melted.) I was extremely disappointed for $25 worth of food that wasn’t up to quality standards. Employees seemed annoyed. Fixing an issue for a customer shouldn’t be annoying when they pay good $ and expect quality food and service. Maybe they’ll be...
Read moreWe ordered a mini ice cream cake and were given a pickup time. This was our first experience with DQ pickup so we were curious how it would work. When we arrived, about four cars were in line ahead of us at the drive up window. We didn't have to wait very long. At the order menu, I told the individual I had a pickup and was asked for the name on the order. I gave it and was told to move forward to get it. Since I hadn't paid online, I provided my credit for payment. I did have to give it rather than simply swipe it as opposed to some other businesses. It only took about 30 seconds and the order was provided. We were impressed. I stopped on the parking lot to put the ice cream cake in the cooler and drove home. BTW, the cake was a peanut butter Reese's blizzard which was excellent. All those at a private birthday party of five affirmed that the cake was delicious. We all had a good-sized piece. I certainly recommend their pickup...
Read moreOrdered a banana split blizzard with no whip cream. (I'm allergic to whip cream) There was whip cream on it. Not an issue, told the kid at the window it was supposed to be no whip cream. He takes the blizzard and apologized. Comes back a couple minutes later and there is now a spoon sticking in my blizzard cup that wasn't there before. I open the lid and the ice cream is about a quarter of the way from the top and there is now whip cream residue. I asked if he scraped it off and he said yes. I advised him how unacceptable that is. I asked for the supervisor who just blankly stared at me and said they would remake it. Well they didn't and just added more icecream so I couldn't see the whip cream. So guess who's face was swollen for the remainder of the night?...
