Ole' Tampa Cubans — Restaurant in Lakeland

I had to share this, i have never ordered anything from here before but trusted the reviews plus my family speaks very highly of the owner. So for my son's first birthday o decided to go with it and order some beans and rice i love cuban beans and rice. note, i have mexican inlaws and they take pride in their beans and rice lol!!!! I wanted different today, i was so shocked at how AMAZING AND DELICIOUS THEY WERE OMG!!! THATS A UNDERSTATEMENT!!!!!!! EVEN MY INLAWS WERE LIKE WOW THIS FOOD IS AMAZING!!! I will be ordering from here more often my husband was skeptical at first but he was blown away by these rice and beans!!!! It's almost 10pm and I'm supposed to be on a diet lol but I'm still eating it hahahaha i do NOT care because they are delicious!!!! You must try if you haven't the owner is very kind and I will be back to try the other foods they offer i give ten stars for the food and service i received on such...

Used to be the best Cubans ever but don’t know what happened because they’ve gone cheap and downhill. Last two times we’ve gotten them now, they’ve been disappointing. Pressed and should be hot but cheese (what extremely little there was) wasn’t even melted. Ordered extra pickle, only to find exactly one pickle on each sandwich. Barely any condiments and a few stringy pieces of roast beef making this a dry crunchy mess and unenjoyable. These used to be made with such pride and care and were so delicious; now I’d rather go to Subway. Thought the last ones were maybe just a fluke and an off day, but this second time was the exact same. Needless to say we’re done with this place because it is now the McDonald’s of Cuban sandwiches. Quality and taste not worth the money anymore and cheaply and hurriedly thrown together as if the staff no longer care....

I've been really missing being able to get an awesome cuban and crab roll since silver ring was forced out of business by the new property owner, but the other day while taking a short cut out to s fl. ave, I saw "Ole Tampa Cubans" on the side of a building in the lil strip mall, so I stopped and went in, and now I'm so glad I did! they have possibly the best cuban I've ever had in my life! It was sooooooo good!!! everything was fresh. they even slice their own fresh meat while making the sandwiches! Also they're really great, friendly people behind the counter too! they get an A+ from me! if you love eating an awesomely good cuban, then you have to check this...
