Where to start. The location looked nice from the outside and the interior was nicely decorated. Noticed on the menu the non-lunch portions of most foods are $18+ so not the cheapest. We ended up ordering from the lunch menu, which ends at 3:30. For starters we got chips and salsa as well as a spicy salsa that was pretty good. We also ordered large guacamole and it seemed small for it to be the large. Main issue is we ran out of chips and we had the guacamole sit on the table for a good 8 minutes without chips, so sadly service was a bit on the slow side. I got the combo that was a burrito and quesadilla with rice and refried beans. The rice and beans were fine, but the "burrito" was so plain. Nothing but Carne asada inside, topped with salsa and some cheese, boring and not what I expected from a burrito. The quesadilla was nothing to write home about but had a good bit of asada. My kid got the chicken quesadilla, and she usually loves them but she said it was no good, wife said it was soggy. My friend ordered the chimichanga and it looked amazing but she said it didn't taste fresh, she also got the chicken, maybe related. My wife ordered her burrito with no tomato and It had tomato in it. Horchata was mediocre sadly. Water was absolute tap, straight sink water. We came based on the reviews but was disappointed. I'd say this is a skip for now.

Today, my wife and I went to Tapatio’s Restaurante Mexicano, located at 734 E Memorial Blvd, in Lakeland. We arrived there at 2:30, the restaurant was not busy, and we were seated promptly. The restaurant is decorated in a Mexican motif and the dining area was clean and well lit. Corn chips quickly appeared along with two small flasks containing mild and spicy hot salsa. I liked that I could have spicy hot salsa while she enjoyed the mild version. Lunch is served until 3:30 so we ordered from their lunch menu. My wife ordered from the Lunch Pick Two menu and had a chicken tostada (with no cheese) and a chicken tamale. They were served with side of rice. She said that the tostada was delicious, and tamale was the best she can remember ever having. I ordered the “La Grande,” which is a burrito and a quesadilla, I ordered both with chicken. They came with rice and refried beans. The food tasted great and was very filling! The waitstaff were attentive and very friendly. While we didn’t ask the waiter’s name, the receipt listed him as Jose. This was our first time eating here and we were impressed with the taste, quantity, and quality of the food. We will definitely be returning again soon. Perhaps for their Taco Tuesday promotion!

I truly love and enjoy the food as well as the exceptional customer service. The manner in which they accommodated my last order was above and beyond what I expected and for this alone I will continue to be a loyal customer. As a mother to a special needs child, it is quite difficult at times to eat out and this is mostly the only way I can enjoy food from different restaurants, as take out or delivery only. I requested they separate my flautas from the rice etc. since my last order arrived with the tortillas very soggy, as to be expected. I was very delighted and very much appreciated their staff's effort when I opened the bag to find EACH item was packaged separately. Other restaurants would have not honored my request because of the expenses as far as the cost of the supplies alone. They ended up using up more containers to separate each item just to make sure my food arrived intact. I very much appreciate the fact that they went above and beyond to make sure I can still have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious, warm and well-presented meal at home. Thank you very much for the kind gesture.

I recently dined at Tapatios Mexican Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful evening.

The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the fajitas. The sizzling platter was a feast for the senses, with perfectly seasoned and tender meat accompanied by a colorful array of peppers and onions. The portion was generous, and the flavors were authentic and expertly balanced. Every bite was a reminder of why I chose to dine here.

Another standout was their margaritas. I opted for the classic lime margarita, and it did not disappoint. It was refreshingly tart with a good kick of tequila, rimmed with just the right amount of salt. It's clear that Tapatios takes pride in their drink selection, and their margaritas are a testament to their commitment to quality.

The service at Tapatios was equally commendable. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They made sure our glasses were never empty and were quick to offer recommendations from the menu. Their warmth and professionalism significantly enhanced our dining experience.

Overall, Tapatios Mexican Restaurant is a gem that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality Mexican cuisine. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are all top-notch, but it’s the friendly service that truly makes it a standout. Whether you’re in the mood for some delicious fajitas, a well-crafted margarita, or just a pleasant dining experience, Tapatios is the...

Did a take out order. The food we ordered we didn't get. The portions were so small and put in children's meal containers. We ordered extra cheese sauce it was in a tiny plastic container that you'd put Ketchup in they charge us $4.00 each for those. A total of $8.00 I called when we got back to Clermont and opened up the food. Spoke to Ivan who took our order. He apologized and asked if we wanted to come back i said no we're 1hr 20 minutes away he said he wood refund our money of $57.60 I agreed than a few minutes later I get a call from the manager and owner Sandra saying that is their portions that they serve. I disagreed with that comment. We always went to the South Side location on S FLORIDA AVE but that is closed now permanently. Their portions were always very generous the Chicken Milanese filled the whole plate and we ordered the cheese sauce on the meat and fries for $2.00 more. This owner/manager was arrogant and rude and said they're not run by the same people so they were different in everything. I expressed how upset I was and would never ever order or go to their location again.

The Nachos with the chicken was suppose to be the supreme with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and guacomole was not on there it was plain we ordered extra cheese on it too one little spoon on it.

This location is nothing like the South Side. Will never go back again.

So we're screwed out of $57 worth of food and all she offered me was $10 not even a credit for the $8.00 for the 2 cheese...

Love this place went there for About 15 years. At least twice a month sometimes and we know this place as a family owned serviced almost every time we came the service was excellent all the times we went our food was on time and the ambience is very familiar, but this last weekend because we’re a large family they offer us the table in front of the entrance and the restrooms It was not that bad but after may be 10 min waiting they came with the menus and then they bring us chips and salsa then probably wait another 10 min to get asked for our drinks my husband ask for a beer and a cold glass and the waitress refused because she said the glass wasn’t to cold but my husband insisted so she bring it then may be took 25 to 30 minutes to get our food served and understand the waiting, is really good taste food but the thing I don’t like at all is they bring first some food for us adults and then took about 5 min to bring some other two dishes and for my boy that was just crispy tacos only they bring it at last, may be almost ten minutes after of the rest.He was upset because we had our meals and he keep waiting. I hope everything was just because they are remodeling to continue giving a best service as they used to, because we drive around 30 min just to get in the restaurant because we love their food and as a large family always spend good...
