Wawa — Restaurant in Lakeland

The worst gas out there. I have a hybrid vehicle I used Wawa gas for years because I had a card for the business. I ended up switching because of the customer service at Wawa especially the one countryside where the new manager is a complete idiot. He has no business being in a management role. Also I am a smoker not proud of it but would buy my cigarettes there because they usually had the best prices and I went in there every other day to purchase cigarettes. The last time I went there they said that the $3 off two packs of cigarettes is no longer good. I said you have a sign right out front stating that it's $3 off two packs. He says yeah but that doesn't mean anything. I said it always meant something before today. And he says I'm going to take that sign down tomorrow I said that's fine but today the sign is up there and I should get the $3 off. Wasn't saying it in a nasty way or anything and told me if I didn't like it to get the hell out of his store not Wawa his store or he'd call the police. I know finding good help is hard but this guy definitely does not need to work in anything related to customer service. The next time I stopped up there the store was completely packed and he was out back smoking a cigarette watching his phone or at least 25 minutes because I was parked right there and I was working on a couple things and it just reminds me how lazy and unprofessional he is. Between the gas that definitely is watered down because the other place I get fuel now I get three to four miles per gallon difference and way better incentives through the app. Wawa just seems like it's got such an ego now that they just don't care anymore. It's a shame it's located very close to my house but there's a new circle k not much further and it's brand new and just a nicer looking store in general. Plus the employees actually try to help you if you have a question. And again the gas is way better. I can't believe the difference I get in gas mileage I spent over the last 3 years and gas for the company in the excess of close to $100,000 a year for my vehicle and all the vehicles and trucks for the company. Now they get to go and spend their money and another store because of the horrible gas in the horrible management and just the bad vibe Wawa puts out. They actually want to charge people $15 for a pizza that's not much better than a frozen one you can buy in the grocery store. Their app never offers any good specials it's sad to see something that when it started out was really nice and new in a refreshing different style for gas station. But I think they lost track that other companies have figured it out too and are catching up quick and surpassing them. Hopefully they figure it out but all I know is their gas is definitely watered down in that is just wrong. And now they've raised everything in the store where it's just not worth it anymore to go there. I had a picture of the manager to attach to the file but I figured I'd leave it off I'm sure Wawa knows who I'm talking about he just recently became the manager at the store or at least he says he is the manager of the store. But tell me he's going to call the police on me because there's a sign out front but clearly states what I was asking for and to get that man about it is just unacceptable. It could have been handled so much better . He could have just said that special is over Will honor it because we were too lazy enough to not take the sign down but going forward the price will be this one from now on. Good luck Wawa I'm sure you've noticed your profits dropping dramatically it's never as busy as it used to be and I've never seen employee in there that looks like they actually enjoy their job....

If you want fewer people. Go to Zhills location. If you want less chaos. Go to Zhills location. This Wawa is insane. The customers are what make it so hard to even stop in. I love Wawa, yet the customers that go into this store make the employees that are trying to do their job, hell. I went in to get a blueberry slushie. What should have taken me less than 5 min to walk in, get the slushie, walk to register, pay, and leave. Took 30 min.....mind you. I didn't order food or anything else. Just a slushie.... The girl was trying to stack the cups for the coke machine and slushie machine. Was a wreck in doing so. No sooner than she could get some into the slots. Here came grown ass men & women acting worse than children that haven't been taught any manners at all....pulling the cups hurriedly, knocking other onto the floor, and then just leaving them there. The cup lids didn't match the cup sizes. The girl had her job cut out for her just with the drink station because the customers were acting like ill behaved children. It is very sad to see this behavior in such a place as Wawa. The gentleman at the Cas register didn't even know what cigarettes he was being asked about. He didn't seem happy at all to be working there. The whole environment was just giving...

I like their smoothies its like soda but with ice it has a lot of fizz, I also like that they have machines that are really modern and their food seems to be good. I want to order something here someday. But, the only thing I don’t like is that they see you struggling and don’t help, well at least some of the workers help some just try not to look at you. I was just looking for some paper towels and nobody had the decency to help me find them until a lady at the back told me where they were (thank god for her), they also have higher prices for their items than other places like at other places the smoothies are ¢69 but here it’s $3.00 which is overpriced but at least the quality is good and it’s one of the best gas station smoothies I’ve ever tasted. Also, the cashiers just stare at you like your a robber or something 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don’t know why they are just rude and a bad experience but either way it’s always really busy in there and I like when it’s not too busy and there’s not too many people so I can come in and come out quickly and take my time. Overall a 4/5 -1 for the service and the overpriced prices....
