We went here for the first time after stopping by the Lakeland Mall one evening. We had never been to one of these boil-in-bag places, and thought we would give it a try. I'm so glad we did because everything was delicious, and pretty well-priced. We ended up sharing a bag with a pound of dungeness crab legs and a half pound of shrimp. It also came with sausage, potatoes and corn. We added a bag of clams as well. For the crab/shrimp bag we got the garlic butter and the Cajun seasoning and for the clams we just got the garlic butter. The seasoning were phenomenal. And while all of the seafood was tasty and cooked perfectly, the sausage was a surprise hit of the evening. We will definitely be back and next time we plan on ordering a non-boil side item like french fries to go with it, just to get us a different taste to break things up with. Overall great food. What we ordered was plenty for 2 adults who can eat a lot of seafood. Only negative was that our server was super slow when it came to refilling out water, and with the seasoning we definitely could have used a refill mid-way through. Edited to add: we went back a second time and the service was much better.

My friend and I always eat here and also order to go on a regular basis. Always had a great experience until we ordered to go yesterday and we found a roach in our food. Came back to the restaurant to return it and the manager looked at me all confused and said it can’t be a roach since they have pest control. I showed him pictures of the roach that we found in our food while eating it 🤢🤢 he asked where we found it, I showed him the bag. Instead of believing it was a roach he decided to open the bag and dig thru it looking for the roach. Had the audacity to say it’s probably potato skins, after I told him no and continued to show him the pictures, he then proceed to look for it. He finally found it and CONFIRMED IT WAS A ROACH!!. He didn’t even show any empathy, the fact that we were eating off it before finding it. He gave me a refund with no apologies. DONT EAT AT THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO EAT ROACHES!!!!!

1st of all Princess was a absolute joy, even though quite busy going tables and back & forth she was wasalways pleasant and we were well taken care a smile. Now the food was just ok. The Kitchen made several mistakes on the food QUALITY and again on the quantity. Sauce was perfect but the blue crabs were over cooked to point barely no lump meat just looked like chopped tuna. After 2 returns I gave up. Lastly. The Music in right rear seating is too loud can barely have a conversation because you can not hear person at your table. (Granted there is a bar there but speaker in corner may need to be tuned down.) Overall my friend swears this is usually a good place just not Tonight.

Heard great things about this new place in Lakeland from friends and I love to try new places. Walking in the doors the decor and atmosphere are awesome, seemed like it was going to be amazing place. I would be horribly mistaken. Lets talk about the service. My server was non existent. We were sat at a table in the other half of the restaurant, very open and roomy. My server came over got our drink and app order and was off. Drinks came, we placed our food order and after that I wasn't sure who our server was anymore because we didn't see her again for a long time. The apps were incorrect and we had to stop another server to correct the apps. The food makes it to the table, everyone at the table had empty drinks and hot food in front of them with no utensils. We had to ask for hot butter and crab crackers and drinks. Had to wait an extensive amount of time to get the items needed to even start eating. Our server was possibly having a bad day or week or dealing with personal issues, but when she did come back she told us she had been sat too many times and had a bunch of other tables and apologized for not being there for us. The restaurant didn't have that many people in it when we were there most of the people there already had food. The excuse was not acceptable. Spending almost 100$ at a restaurant the service should be top notch this server let us down horribly. The food did make up for the service somewhat, although in my opinion if you go to a restaurant you expect both service and great food. I would not recommend ordering apps, they were not as good as other places. We had calamari and it seemed off on texture and taste, fried oysters we order came way late, the fried shrimp we didn't order were good though. Save time and spend your money on the good stuff like the crab legs and shrimp, they were amazing. The few steamed clams that I had were great, I ordered a 1/2lb. Of steamed clams and about 15 clams had no meat in them. After talking to the rest of the people I ate with they all enjoyed the food. The price is a bit high but for seafood this far away from the water it is well worth the cost. All in all the food saved the experience and I would recommend going here, service leaves something to...

Crafty Crab- 4266 US HWY 98, Lakeland, Fl 33809.

I’ve been to the crafty Crab in Tampa and have never had any issues. I wanted to share with my friends what i thought would be a good time so we came to the Crafty Crab Lakeland to only be insulted by the “manager” Daniel over $5.

I ordered $70 worth of food and realized after paying my tab and wrapping up my leftovers that I was not given my 1/2lb of sausage. It wasn’t for me so I hadn’t noticed it while I was eating. After realizing the order was wrong I called over the Waitress Christina. Christina was very nice, apologetic, professional, and easy going- she agreed that it was on my tab and that she would get it from the kitchen & even said that it would take like 2-3 minutes. We had no problem waiting, it wasn’t a big deal until Daniel “the non-manager” came over that the situation got escalated.

While trying to explain to Daniel what had occurred he just walked off and didn’t say anything. He went up to the waitress and his body language was unprofessional and seemed rude. We heard the shocked employees by the bar mention that Daniel was going to check the cameras to see if I was a liar over $5.

After 10 minutes Daniel finally made it back to our table, empty handed and said that it was going to be “on the house” but I was explaining to him that it couldn’t be “on the house” because I had already payed for it and I had even offered to pay for the sausage again just to have the situation over with.

He never apologized, he even went as far as denying being the manager when I said I was going to write a review.

I was embarrassed, insulted, and wouldn’t recommend going to Crafty Crab-Lakeland while he is there.

If I’m paying $70 for a meal, why would I scam for a $5 half...

From the West Coast to the East Coast I am truly a seafood lover and Crafty Crab has proven to be (to me) one of the best seafood eateries around...and is also why, with a saddened heart (💔) I have to say I will no longer continue to be a customer with the Lakeland location and here is why... Last Thr or Fri I ordered the Snow crab special and added on a dozen of Oysters (these guys were busy busy busy, as always 👍) I thought it odf that the Special came in a standard wrapping and the oysters were only in the "To Go" carry bag and not the clear bag plus the carry bag that saves your cream colored leather seats in your 2020 Hyundai Palisade. You know as soon as I got in the house I called because not only did I want them to know that someone happened careless and not wrapped up the food correctly and they needed to be careful I also need to know if they had any ideas for what to use to get out of this oily stain on my leather seats. The front desk clerk was so rude and proceeded to tell me that I was calling the wrong place if I was looking for any type of compensation or apology and then asked me well I don't know what it is you want me to do or say to you (MOOD🤨) I told her that for one an apology and not the smug remarks would be appreciated then I went on to ask for a supervisor and explain to him the situation he was nice enough to offer me an apology he did check the policies to see if there is anything he could do and there was not (of course). I guess I'm more disappointed because they didn't even offer a wet wipe or something to help or figure out the best way to get out this stain in my leather seats. Does anyone have any really good ideas? Broken hearted💔 former...
