There cannot be good enough reviews on this place.
I have eaten at probably every Korean BBQ/Hot Pot restaurant from Jacksonville to Miami and while there are some real standouts, this restaurant is a real gem.
In terms of selection, value per dollar, hospitality and ambience this is hands down the best in each selection for what you're getting.
Some Orlando KBBQ joints DO feature a large amount of sides/ready to eat items/salad bars, and a wide range of desserts and this one notably does not-- which I LOVED! Very to the point. I'm here to eat bulgolgi and garlic shrimp and they make it easy to get straight to the point.
The sides/RTE items they DID have were all amazing. The pickled radish salad was dreamy and technically I suppose you may have been right to cook the oysters, but I saw plenty of people eating them raw.
The in table KBBQ setting was accessible without being what some refer to as "splatter height" 😂😂😂 and the hotpot base options were varied and I'm certain, all delicious.
There were thorough explanations available for newbies and eclectic options available for seasoned hands (duck blood may be an acquired taste, but I recommend trying a bit if you're new to hotpot!).
The option to add hotpot to a KBBQ option was 5 or 6 dollars and easily worth so much more.
The sauces, some of them house made, were worthy of a write home and provided a wide range for a variety of tastes.
Our Guest Service associate (she was an absolute Rockstar, waitress isn't enough to describe here) 'Kay', could not have been more gracious and receptive to feedback. We watched as another table voiced small concerns and she instantly made it right and then some.
Please come to this fantastic establishment, as long as the quality of the service and the food stays HALF as good as experienced tonight, this will be a storied and welcomed long time establishment in Lakeland for a very,...
Read moreThe concept and atmosphere is really cool and our server was really friendly and informative on how to do everything. We did BBQ: There are a lot of options in regards to meats and they have steak. It's advertised as a really nice cut but it was very thin and when cooked it was greasy and had no taste which was really disappointing. You get one set of tongs with the expectations of using them for putting the raw meat on the grill and retrieving the cooked meat as well. Which opens you up to cross contamination which could make you very sick! I don't think a lot of people are aware of this unfortunately. So we used our plastic forks to take the meat off the grill. I tried some of their sauces to add flavor to the other meats we ate but they where flavorless as well. We did the HOTPOT the kimchi broth I had was pretty good. They also had a lot of options for the hotpot; different types of noodles and vegetables. So as far as variety goes there are a lot of things to choose from. The restaurant does have a high price point so be aware of that it was 160.00 tip included for four people which isn't the worst but just something to be mindful of that way you can make sure to be able to afford a tip. I really wanted to like it as I waited with anticipation for them to open and I love hotpot but they underdelivered in regards to taste and some of the meats where not of the best quality. As stated it's a really cool atmosphere, offers a lot of variety, our server was informative on the process. She made suggestions on things to try like grilling kimchi which was really good. Honestly the best part of our experience was our server. The lack of flavor and the sauces not offering flavor either as well as the meats being hit and miss as far as quality is a deal breaker for me. With the price point I feel that everything should be consistent...
Read moreWe live in N.Lakeland, so we were on our way back from Winterhaven. We're new to the area & it was getting late. Close to 6pm. I was NOT cooking after having the day we just had 😆 I haven't had Chinese since we arrived just before Helene hit. So I pulled up Chinese restaurants, and this one looked the most appealing. Between photos & reviews of the place, it appeared to be the best option. When I walked in. I was very impressed. The place was very well decorated, clean, and even very well lit, unlike many Chinese places. I told the friendly young lady that I was only there for takeout, so she quickly grabbed what I needed and off around the massive selection of food I went 😆 there was literally so much food to decide on or from. As always, when I'm in a hurry. I just grabbed some lomein & honey chicken with egg drop soup. The cost wasn't bad, but they weigh by the lb which this night was $8.99. I'm from TN, so that was a bit higher than what I'm used to, but not by a lot. I got home and couldn't wait to eat. The soup was good, as were the fried wontons. The honey chicken was good, and the noodles were too. Those could have been cooked just a cpl of minutes longer imo. But I still enjoyed them. The next 2 days though...my stomach was awful!! I'm not sure if it's just where I hadn't had Chinese in a while or what, but if that's an indication of what it'll be like, should I eat there again. I won't 😆 🤣 😂 it did taste good, though. I think it's most likely one of the best stocked with a huge variety to pick from that I've been to in a very long time. I'd recommend it but if you haven't had Chinese in a while. Just...
