Top's China — Restaurant in Lakeside

Shame on me for taking so long to review this Top's China location. I am VERY picky about where I get my Chinese food fix and Top's China on Brook Rd. in Richmond, VA. satisfies. My frequent menu items: Sesame chicken, fried chicken wings, pork fried rice, egg rolls and a side of egg-foo young gravy.

I frequent this location at least 5 times a month and at different hrs. (lunch or dinner). The employees are always nice. However, I can't go without saying that sometimes when placing an order via telephone the gentleman who takes my order; I feel like I am being rushed off the phone. In this case I have him repeat my order back to me. There have been times, not many, when an item is missing from my order. They always correct it; no debate, no making one travel 20 minutes back to get it replaced. They simply make a note of it and I can pick it up the next time I order. The restaurant is clean overall; eating area, order counter, bathrooms etc. The wait time on your order is about average (10-15 minutes). Parking is good and spaces...

I had a terrible experience with this restaurant. What was meant to be just a simple Grubhub order pick up turned into an hour long ordeal. I had a simple order of small chicken fried rice and one egg roll. I waited over an hour for my order after having ordered on Grubhub.The employees were in complete disarray and couldn’t seem to manage the walk-in patron’s orders nor the incoming Grubhub orders, or the call in orders. They were completely frazzled and disorganized. When I finally did get my order the rice was hard, and it was missing the basic ingredients for fried rice such as peas, carrots, and soy sauce. I been eating here for YEARS and NEVER HAVE I EVER CAME ACROSS A ROACH IN MY DAMN FOOD . Like and I’m always paying attention to my food being greedy eating and I bit into some CRUNCHY !!! Like I am so disgusted and disappointed in this place !! At this point I’m going to start making my food from home . Then he tried to say it came from outside .
