My Wife, child & mother came here for lunch. It was just us, a very slow atmosphere the entire time there. Approaching the table I notice a dirty trash basket on the table. Told my mom to put it on the counter next to us. Food came out very salty but we thought it’s Vietnamese food for the general population as the owners are not Vietnamese. How ironic. As we are eating the female owner place the dirty trash basket next to my bowl of pho as I’m eating. I then told my wife how awkward I feel to eat and a trash basket is on the table next to my food. My wife ask for it to put it back on the counter. Then my wife and mom finish and went to the restroom but could not enter. There is a key to open the restroom. 1 by 1 More awkwardness. As I then finish eating with my child the female owner came back again with the trash basket to place in front of me as she takes the plates & bowls away. I wanted to get away so I got up to pay. Reaching in my pocket for my credit cards. Owner Husband awaits at the front leaning next to his owner wife at the cash register. I pulled out an American Express card and placed it on the tray. The owner Husband made a fancy remark obviously about me and followed with a silly laughter while walking off. What the heck is that all about? I was in total awkwardness. Went back to my seat waiting for wife and mother to get out of the restroom. I push the dirty trash basket across the table away from me as the female owner should have taken it away since all plates and bowls are gone in the kitchen. It is so disgusting & disrespectful how the 2 husband & wife treated their customers. The look on their face without any smile is bad business. Customer service is horrible and not very cleanliness with a dirty trash basket passing around ended up next to my bowl of Pho as I eat. 🤮 As a business man I wanted to address what they can do to improve but after the husband made that remark about me I felt there is no need for feed back. I still tipped them for service but will never come back. 👎 no wonder the room is empty the whole time we ate there. They need to learn that as doing business, a friendly attitude & being cleaner all around is better. I...
Read moreIf you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food then this is not the place for you. The husband and wife team are not Vietnamese. It's likely they took over the business. We ordered the fresh summer rolls which only has shrimps, ideally the roll is made with shrimp and pork. We ordered 3 pho soup and the broth was definitely not traditional pho broth. It lacked the pho spices to make it a true pho noodle soup. We also ordered bun bo hue aka spicy noodle. It was spicy but it didn't have lemongrass as the key ingredient of this traditional dish from the middle region of Vietnam. If you are looking for a quick eat then this it it but if you want real good authentic tasting Vietnamese food then this is not the place for you. In addition, the rice plates with Korean BBQ ribs and the grilled pork dish were not available to order, we were told they dont have it, likely they were missing ingredients to prepare the dish. The male owner is also very rushy in taking our order even though there were only 2 other people in the restaurant and he didn't want to listen, very unprofessional. I think he forgot 1 of the pho noodle soup. We ordered 3 and only 2 came out. When we asked him about the 3rd pho soup he acted like it's being prepared, which at this time was about 10 minutes after the other 2 pho soups came...
Read moreSushi Saigon remains the favorite Vero restaurant for my wife and me, but PHOTASTIC is FANTASTIC, and it's a close second on that list. Our FAVORITE DISH IN ALL VERO RESTAURANT OFFERINGS is #21 on the menu. I cannot even describe it. When you get it, you have to STIR it a lot. It's got all kinds of STUFF in it, and the end result is very, very tasty. I get my #21 with an egg roll in it (it comes with #21, and I think #20 has no egg roll), and I chop it up in the MIX. The end result is MOSTLY VEGETABLE. The dish features some beautifully marinated meat, but veggies dominate the bowl! Ya just can't go wrong, with #21. I also love their Vietnamese sandwiches (#9) and their Korean BBQ entree, and their fried rice entree is the BEST in Vero. [We've tried them all.] We were, before the Plague hit, frequent GO-OUTERS. We loved to dine out, five days a week at least. And we hit Photastic at least one of those days. We're doing the best we can to support the local restaurants in these trying days, so I'm about to order a delivery from Photastic right now. No, you can't have any. Order your own. And stay 6 feet away from my #21. ---Otherwise, Cheers to all. Hang in, This...
