Sunset Cafe — Restaurant in Florida

This place is a small, yummy cafe. Food isn’t super cheap for the basic options available, but it’s still very yummy and filling. The young blonde server is always wonderful I wish I could name her, she’s always on top of everything and banters w the regular customers. The other younger woman thats a server on the other hand… I think she has black hair, if not dark, but she was not attentive at all. She looked me up and down as I walked in to eat w my bf, which threw me off bc at that point I’ve done and said nothing to her, but her tone was pleasant enough when speaking, so I didn’t think I had an issue after that. I order my oj, I finish it well before my food comes. Food took a while this day, but that’s okay. My waitress never checked back in until the food came out tho, she sees my fully empty cup and asked if I wanted a water w my meal. I said yes and start eating. I sit there watching her bc I’m thirsty and waiting and she NEVER comes back w it. She instead sorts silverware w her back towards the customers. Still waiting on my water bc I have nothing to sip, I finish all my savory/salty parts of my food first, making me even more thirsty. I assume she forgot but she literally never checked back in during our meal so I couldn’t even call her over or ask again. No check ins until I had 1 bite out of my pancakes and was done eating since I couldn’t wash anything down. She gave me a full glass of water (stealing my straw and not replacing it) WHILE HANDING ME THE CHECK. I only boxed the rest of my pancakes bc both her and my bf went “oh” as I said I didn’t want to box it lol. I would’ve just preferred it if she just taken accountability and said she forgot and just apologized for that- But to hand me the water I’ve waited over 10 minutes for while I watched you actively ignore customers is batshit! Absolutely barest minimum of service you can give and you still failed that. Pls leave the customer service to the wonderful, bright spirited, young blonde woman. Keep the other one in the back until they know to focus on their tables and do the side work when your customer's aren’t actively...

Came here at 10:40 on Sunday. There were no tables open. Me and my fiancé stood inside and waited for a table. Once a table left all the sudden two old men came in and sat down at the table that just became available before the waitress could even clear it off. Every single waitress seen us waiting and no one person stopped these guys from taking the table we were waiting for. We decided to let it slide and wait for the next one. Ten mins later a gentleman left a table and all the waitresses decided to ignore us and chose not to clear off the table. Then another family left and they left that table dirty as well. I then decided to help them and cleared the table myself and we sat down. We then sat down for five minutes and the waitresses STILL DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE US. I don’t know what we did to them or why they chose to ignore us but I have never been treated so poorly for no reason ever. Rude miserable waitresses. Also I’d like to add as soon as we walked out and went to our car THEY STARTED CLEARING...

I can only base this on one visit today for breakfast. I ate it because I ordered it and therefore have to pay for it as complaining about the food and not paying for it is not acceptable in my book. I won't find out about their other food as I'm not going back. The toast was soggy. Seriously , how do you mess up toast? The over easy eggs were ok, barely done. The hash browns were just a greasy undercooked mess. The bacon had an off taste. Thankfully I had gravy on the hash browns. The ladies that work there are really nice, polite and work hard. Despite the slow service they work hard. I noticed how patient they were with older folks. It's a shame that such nice people work so hard, because it can't make up for terrible food. This is a little diner, so it's not supposed to be a 5 star restaurant, but the food...
