2 Scoops Family Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Lakewood Park

My wife, Nancy, had a great expeience just now at 2 Scoops. These are her words: "I brought my 95 year old mother-in-law here today. It is always tricky to take her places alone because she can't walk far at all. We have a system though- I dropped her at the door and said, 'Wait for me in one of these chairs.' But immediately a young lady came and opened the door and so I told my MIL to wait inside where it was cool and told the young lady I would be right in to order. I hurried to park and come in, but by the time I did, a gentleman (the owner I believe) was at the table taking her order. He brought it to her and then I chose my ice cream and paid. The ice cream was delicious and the shop is charming inside. When we had finished I was about to do my usual plan of helping my MIL to the sidewalk and letting her sit there and while I went for the car, but the lovely man came over and said, 'Why don't I just hang out here until you get the car?' Honestly, the kindness meant so much. I went out the the car and I could see through the window that he had sat down and was chatting with my MIL, which made her day. When I pulled up he brought her walker to her as I opened the car door and she came out. As she got in the car she said, 'What a nice man. And what great ice cream. This was our 2nd visit and we were more than satisfied with both visits. The 1st time there i ordered 1 scoop of ice cream to go for myself and one for my daughter on top of a kids cup of ice cream for my grandson. The gentleman only charged me for 2 scoops together saying it was cheaper that way instead of 2 individual sccops and didn't charge for the kids cup. Tonight i ordered one scoop for myself and received a bowl full of ice cream heaping out of the bowl and my grandson got not only one kids cup full but he then gave him a 2nd bowl of ice cream free. They are the nicest people and definitely care about there customers 💯 such a warm and welcoming place with the friendliest staff. We will be going back many times. Don’t waste your time or money. Came in on Thursday evening around 6 pm. Almost all flavors we tried to order they were out. Ok so we went for what they had and ordered 2 sundaes. Hubby got his and then they ran out of hot fudge and asked if I wanted just chocolate sauce. No thanks so I asked for sprinkles. They charged for 2 sundaes.
