Let me just say if you haven’t been here you are seriously missing out. (Sorry for the bites taken in the pictures I have a hard time remembering to take a picture before eating, I’m always hungry). This was mine and my newly husbands first time in and we will definitely be back. Shannon the general manager was so amazing to us she said we looked fancy and we explained to her that it was actually our wedding day we had just gotten married and she congratulated us and gave us both a glass of champagne as we sat down. Talk about great service, and amazing hospitality I love when restaurants treat you like family. We chose a booth in the back (yes they are following COVID rules everyone is spaced out properly). We had Kyle as a waiter and I can not rave about this waiter enough he was friendly, personable, funny, and super knowledgeable about the restaurant and the food. Okay let’s get onto the food and drinks first of all the champagne was absolutely amazing and I myself got a glass of Chardonnay (phenomenal) if you’re not a wine drinker they have plenty of other mixed drinks and beers to choose from. The spinach artichoke dip was TO DIE FOR just the right amount of cheesy goodness and they give you bread, carrots, and broccoli to dip. Now for the main course the steak had the right amount of seasoning and was cooked to perfection, the loaded baked potato was the best I think I have ever had....seriously. The French fries were also fantastic and that ranch dressing is from another planet it was amazing. Now for the best part the lemon blueberry pie this was actually a recommendation from Kyle (our waiter) and I am so so glad we took his recommendation. This was the perfect amount of sweet and the crust omg baked to perfection I don’t think I have had something so sweet and perfect before. Overall we had an amazing experience, the food was amazing, the staff was friendly and professional and the food was definitely worth the price. We will be back again thank you for treating us...
Read moreAs a relatively new resident of Lakewood I’ve been meaning to get to Mannings for some time. My GF took me for my birthday lunch this week. We were impressed by the positive reviews and the new autumn menu on their website. Our experience just adds more stars to the list. They are known for affordable pricing on quality selections. Our lunch completely confirmed that reputation. The food, service and ambience all set high standards. We started with excellent crab cakes which are “mostly crab”, as our friendly server promised, and sized perfectly for sharing. Choosing from the terrific menu options was a challenge but it is a steak house so we split the New York strip with delicious bourbon glaze and a large side of extra cheesy potatoes au gratin. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. The potatoes could easily be a dessert; they’re that good. Our waiter recommended one of the red wines which was as smooth and balanced as he described. We actually were too full for dessert but really tempted by the choices especially when we learned that nearly everything is made in house. There is no doubt we will return soon to sample some apps and entrees and leave room for a slice of homemade pie or the skillet cookie with vanilla ice cream that’s already calling my name. We got the impression that Mannings is a respected neighborhood favorite from the inviting dining area and separate well-stocked bar. The food exceeded our expectations and the service was flawless. Every staff member and the manager was genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated to ensuring we were happy that we came in. It is rare when a restaurant promises fine dining, fair prices and friendly service and you can award five stars for all three. Mannings certainly earns their accolades. In fact, based on our afternoon there, we would give them SIX stars...
Read moreWhen we got in there we were told there was not a table available! Not that there was a wait time just "NO TABLES available at all" so they offered us a seat at the bar. We took it cause it was dinner time and we were hungry. That being said there were many tables available that didn't get filled the entire time we were there, so if they were for a reservation, they held them for over 2 hours. Because we were there for at least two hours. Our server did not come up and address us right way. We had 2 different servers because one didn't have time to wait on our table at the bar, so she shared it with the bartender who was very unattentive and didn't ask if we needed anything at all. And when we got our meals, the steaks were both very undercooked. I asked for med-rare, it was basically was raw. My friend asked for a medium and it was basically raw as well and I mean not cooked at all in the middle just chared on the outside. I love steak and I am a chef so these steaks were definitely not cooked right or at all for that matter. It took them over a half an hour to re-cook her steak, and they did not even give her a new one. They just put her old one back on the grill and cooked it up in temperature!! And I'm pretty sure I've heard good reviews about the steaks here and it was horrible, so was the baked potato. I was very disappointed!!! For all the rave, and for all of the crowd that goes there, I was expecting a better experience. But I had the opposite and not a good experience at all, and the food I will not return for!!! How does a steakhouse get it so wrong when cooking steaks! Oh and for what they charge!!! Absurd!!!!!!! Charging for sides with your steak, WHAT?!?!....Paid way too much for a bad meal and an...
