Mannings. What can I say. I’m thankful they took over the space and made this such a worthwhile neighborhood place to visit. The owner is the lady that also owns the Fiddlesticks Bar and Grill. So you know she’s no slouch in this dept. no relations to the football Manning at all :) but if you ask me that Manning will be happy to eat here. Food is great. Always delicious! I’ve tried their burgers, steaks and their drinks. I’ve tested their happy hour eats as well. All worth your while. One of the best thing about a restaurant is their consistency in every aspect. You will get that here. The staff is great. They’re all professional but warm. Knowledgeable and on point with their recommendations. I admit I’m very comfortable here. This is my go to now. So close and feels so familiar but they continue their great job in turning out great tasting food in a consistent manner. The price point? It is not going to make your wallet sad. But if you want to forgo that thought then by all means order the market value example Bison Tomahawk. In the end it’s still really reasonable. The son of the owner who’s running the place is very hands on and will absolutely make you feel comfortable. But in one of my interactions with him he mentioned that their purpose is to make reasonably priced but very tasty dishes available to the neighborhood. Amen! The decor was tweaked and made classier. With uniform looking tables now. A wall of water cascading down. What? Yes stiff drinks. Yes. Cocktails? Tasty and stiff. My fave is the Whiskey and Gold.

Disappointed. Crazy prices. Chose Mannings for my birthday dinner. Atmosphere is industrial and nothing that would reflect the high end prices. Our waitress was cheerful and brought two small glasses of water when she came to greet us and bring menus. I ordered the crab cake appetizer as my entree, my husband ordered a bone-in ribeye. I said I’ll just have water to drink and I should have asked for a regular size glass of it. The food came out in an appropriate amount of time and smelled amazing. The crab cakes were plenty to make a small meal of but they were room temperature. I didn’t say anything because I knew if I asked for them to be heated up, my husband would stop eating until I had my food back. I began finding crab shell in about every other bite. This combined with them not being an appetizing temperature had me struggling to eat them. My water, however was long gone. I had finished my husband’s water and we were sharing my husband’s tea by the time our waitress had a chance to check on us. The steak was delicious and cooked just a little under, but not worth $75 in any stretch of the imagination. On what planet does a $75 steak not come with a side? Add a baked potato for $8??? Asparagus another $8????. My crab cake appetizer was $23. We decided to get dessert elsewhere and asked for the check. I just had no expectation that whatever dessert was would be worth what this place charges for it. We will stick with T Street or Ted’s Montana in the future.

We went for an early dinner arriving around 4:30 with no reservations. We were promptly seated in the main dining area, which was quiet to start, but as more guests arrived, the noise level increased to the point that it was hard to have a conversation with my husband. The acoustics are terrible, creating sound reverberations making super hard to hear. The main dining room chairs are super uncomfortable, and there are very limited booths. If you go sit in the patio area where the high tops have padded seats. The happy hour specials are great and appropriately priced. Would highly recommend going earlier to snag some of those deals. For the appetizer we ordered the PEI mussels which had a great flavor, wish it would have came with more than two small pieces of bread to dip in the sauce. My husband had the 10oz filet mignon that comes with one side, so we got the and bechamel macaroni and cheese...which was excellent mac & cheese! The filet mignon was a bit overcooked and had a burnt/singed taste on the outside. I ordered the seafood Newburg, and it comes with a side salad as pictured. The seafood dish had an excellent taste profile and tons of shrimp and scallops. We took home half my dish as we were stuffed. Overall, it was pretty decent food but disappointed in the uncomfortable chairs and noise level. Would go back and sit in a booth or patio hightop but not in the main dining area, and try a burger and fries they looked great.

Let me just say if you haven’t been here you are seriously missing out. (Sorry for the bites taken in the pictures I have a hard time remembering to take a picture before eating, I’m always hungry). This was mine and my newly husbands first time in and we will definitely be back. Shannon the general manager was so amazing to us she said we looked fancy and we explained to her that it was actually our wedding day we had just gotten married and she congratulated us and gave us both a glass of champagne as we sat down. Talk about great service, and amazing hospitality I love when restaurants treat you like family. We chose a booth in the back (yes they are following COVID rules everyone is spaced out properly). We had Kyle as a waiter and I can not rave about this waiter enough he was friendly, personable, funny, and super knowledgeable about the restaurant and the food. Okay let’s get onto the food and drinks first of all the champagne was absolutely amazing and I myself got a glass of Chardonnay (phenomenal) if you’re not a wine drinker they have plenty of other mixed drinks and beers to choose from. The spinach artichoke dip was TO DIE FOR just the right amount of cheesy goodness and they give you bread, carrots, and broccoli to dip. Now for the main course the steak had the right amount of seasoning and was cooked to perfection, the loaded baked potato was the best I think I have ever had....seriously. The French fries were also fantastic and that ranch dressing is from another planet it was amazing. Now for the best part the lemon blueberry pie this was actually a recommendation from Kyle (our waiter) and I am so so glad we took his recommendation. This was the perfect amount of sweet and the crust omg baked to perfection I don’t think I have had something so sweet and perfect before. Overall we had an amazing experience, the food was amazing, the staff was friendly and professional and the food was definitely worth the price. We will be back again thank you for treating us...

As a relatively new resident of Lakewood I’ve been meaning to get to Mannings for some time. My GF took me for my birthday lunch this week. We were impressed by the positive reviews and the new autumn menu on their website. Our experience just adds more stars to the list. They are known for affordable pricing on quality selections. Our lunch completely confirmed that reputation. The food, service and ambience all set high standards. We started with excellent crab cakes which are “mostly crab”, as our friendly server promised, and sized perfectly for sharing. Choosing from the terrific menu options was a challenge but it is a steak house so we split the New York strip with delicious bourbon glaze and a large side of extra cheesy potatoes au gratin. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. The potatoes could easily be a dessert; they’re that good. Our waiter recommended one of the red wines which was as smooth and balanced as he described. We actually were too full for dessert but really tempted by the choices especially when we learned that nearly everything is made in house. There is no doubt we will return soon to sample some apps and entrees and leave room for a slice of homemade pie or the skillet cookie with vanilla ice cream that’s already calling my name. We got the impression that Mannings is a respected neighborhood favorite from the inviting dining area and separate well-stocked bar. The food exceeded our expectations and the service was flawless. Every staff member and the manager was genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated to ensuring we were happy that we came in. It is rare when a restaurant promises fine dining, fair prices and friendly service and you can award five stars for all three. Mannings certainly earns their accolades. In fact, based on our afternoon there, we would give them SIX stars...

When we got in there we were told there was not a table available! Not that there was a wait time just "NO TABLES available at all" so they offered us a seat at the bar. We took it cause it was dinner time and we were hungry. That being said there were many tables available that didn't get filled the entire time we were there, so if they were for a reservation, they held them for over 2 hours. Because we were there for at least two hours. Our server did not come up and address us right way. We had 2 different servers because one didn't have time to wait on our table at the bar, so she shared it with the bartender who was very unattentive and didn't ask if we needed anything at all. And when we got our meals, the steaks were both very undercooked. I asked for med-rare, it was basically was raw. My friend asked for a medium and it was basically raw as well and I mean not cooked at all in the middle just chared on the outside. I love steak and I am a chef so these steaks were definitely not cooked right or at all for that matter. It took them over a half an hour to re-cook her steak, and they did not even give her a new one. They just put her old one back on the grill and cooked it up in temperature!! And I'm pretty sure I've heard good reviews about the steaks here and it was horrible, so was the baked potato. I was very disappointed!!! For all the rave, and for all of the crowd that goes there, I was expecting a better experience. But I had the opposite and not a good experience at all, and the food I will not return for!!! How does a steakhouse get it so wrong when cooking steaks! Oh and for what they charge!!! Absurd!!!!!!! Charging for sides with your steak, WHAT?!?!....Paid way too much for a bad meal and an...
