I went in lastnight at around 7pm and when I got in there, there was 3 workers and only one customer they were making sandwiches for. I went to the register and ordered my food paid for it and I proceeded to wait. I then waited like a good 10 mins and I began to get curious what was taking 3 people to finish one person's order and then my one sandwich. So I asked them if my sandwich was even being made yet and I was told no that they were getting started on it now 10 mins after I ordered. I then asked why they choose to do the doordash orders first when that should be lower priority then the people that are ordering in person for themselves. I didn't get to read his name tag but if assume it was the manager of the other 2 for the night due to him giving rude toned orders to the other dude, he chose to throw off his gloves pull out his phone and threaten me to leave or he'd call the cops and this was without giving me a refund or my food. So I sat there through the threat and he walked fast to the little chair they have in the back room and sat down rubbed his face and came back out to work again. It's really unproductive to be doing a assembly line on the sandwiches you have 3 dudes that have to look at the ticket to see what the sandwich even is and what to put on it, it would be way smarter and more productive to have them make their own sandwich to speed it up and have no confusion. Then they gave me my food with no receipt like that was gonna stop me from getting the number or from leaving a review. Make orders in store top priority also makes no sense why doordash orders are made first. For what too? To sit there and get soggy and cold or warm? Little man that threatened shouldn't be working there anymore he has a short fuse and dont know how...
Read moreI went to Firehouse Subs based on ad advertisement that stated "Best Meatball sandwich GUARANTEED!!" , since there was one near were i live in Belmar, I decided to give it a go. I agree - they put alot of thought into what makes a Great Meatball Sub and i was pleased with my experience. I have gone back to the same store many more times for the Meatball Sub and to try new Subs. The reason i gave them one star was the lack of service to the customer. I tried there online ordering, which i ASSUMED would be conveint due to my ability to schedule the time i would pick up my sub and to have already paid for it online..... Just go in on time and pick it up - WRONG. I was charged again for the sub i already paid for, the comment from the clerk " I hate these online orders" did inspire confidence that he knew what he was doing. I pointed out that i was charged twice and a refund was issued and i was on my way with my sub.... WOOO HOO!
Not so fast sparky..... When i got home to enjoy my Meatbally Sub, it was made upside down. They cut the bottom of the roll and filled the sandwhich from the bottom and realized the mistake, but instead of fixing it and making it the right way. They just placed the sub bottom side down, so i could not tell.
I like Firehouse Subs and decide to complain via there website - explaining the service i had recieved. I was thanked for letting them know of the situation and that someone would contact me to follow up on the complaint.
That was THREE WEEKS ago......... I guess my complaint fell on deaf ears???
The only difference from one sub shop to another is...
Read moreI would like to start off by saying that this is the first time I have ever gone out of my way to give negative feedback on a restaurant. Firehouse (Union one location). I was picking up 2 subs for my pregnant wife and I and all she cared about was getting pickles (cravings). I ordered them upfront at the cash register, along with the subs (even though I know you guys usually put them in regardless) and the worker acknowledged me and it was even on my receipt.
When my order was ready, I asked again to a different worker if the pickles were included and he said "yes, they're in there." As I was leaving, I heard one of the employees say something about pickles and multiple other employees started laughing. I didn't think anything of it until I got home and to my dismay, there were no pickles included.
I'm not sure what prompted this rude behavior by your employees or they're blatant disrespect to me, but they obviously knew they didn't have pickles and lied straight to my face and then proceeded to laugh about it as I was walking out.
I am a St. Anthony's employee who used your store frequently but I will be avoiding this location from now on. I will also be letting my colleagues know of the complete disrespect and rudeness that I experienced as a customer...
