So I've been coming to this place since grand opening months ago and I gotta say... I absolutely love this place! One thing I think that's hard to execute for a restaurant is consistency. Kickin Chicken has been consistent since I've began going months ago till now. When I order a chicken sandwich or anything else on the menu, it tastes just like the last time I ate it which is fantastic. It's hard to say if I have a favorite as I think it just really depends on my mood but everything on the menu is tasty and also made to order. The chicken breading is crunchy, we'll seasoned and not so overbearing like how some places can be which takes away from the chicken or can be too much at times too. You can taste the ingredients used in the sides and the sauces all have their own personality for whichever mood you're in! Right now I'm really into the Buffalo Ranch and I always resort to the Kickin Sauce which is a favorite of mine. I can't say enough about this restaurant's food but love that we have some quality chicken that's consistent and delicious.
I also want to point out the customer service here as well which I think can be almost more important than the food in some cases... This restaurant cooks their food made to order so you'll have to wait a few minutes for your food. I don't mind waiting because I know the quality it brings. Anytime my order is taken it's with a smile (even when they're super busy), they'll let you know if your food is coming if they have several orders ahead of you and they simply make you feel good about being there while you're waiting for your meal. Whether that's conversation or good music, I simply just love the vibe here and that it's owned locally! I can always count on an overall good experience when I visit Kickin Chicken from the food side and the service side. 5...

This isn't normal friend chicken. They have fried chicken sandwiches and such, but you're not ordering a 1, 2, or 3 piece meal. No individual pieces of chicken on the menu.
The lady who took our order was SUPER sweet, very patient and helpful. Asked for 3 thighs, thinking I was getting 3 pieces of chicken. She said 'that's a LOT of chicken'. Said okay, just 2 then. Then asked if I wanted it chopped. Was like...umm okay. Daughter got a chicken sandwich, thinking along the lines of Chic-fil-A. We got it to go, wait was less than 10 minutes.
We jumped in the truck and popped our containers open. The lady was right, two pieces was plenty. However, both thighs were chopped into half inch slices, nearly filling the container.
My daughter was overwhelmed by hers....a giant piece of chicken between two pieces of Texas toast. It was large! She stared at it for awhile, then asked to try a piece of my chicken.
The chicken was tender and flavorful. The breading was meh, at best. Bit of an off flavor that I couldn't place. With the chicken chopped, then breading would just fall off the chicken as I picked it up.
My daughter broke the sandwich down, removing the pieces of bread. She ended up eating half the chicken cutlet by tearing pieces off of it. Tossed the bread.
Overall, it's was a decent experience, but just wasn't what I was expecting.
Side note, there is inside seating, but it runs down a corridor past the register with no windows and a dozen tables. Gave me the willy's thinking about being back there and having someone rob the place. No...

Great, fast! service great work. This place is very young hipster youth, grab & go, hard labor workers, @ all in general. Loud upbeat. Cool franchise.
Here is where it went down, as I came out of the Hospital clinic right across the street this place was recommended & of course I was gonna go! I am a Toronto Foodie so I was aiming for excellent if not good 👍🏼 😊 I got my grandma a “Chicken Katsu” chicken thigh, fried rice, Mac salad & obvs Katsu Sauce… I didn’t expect the fried rice to be hidden away in such a small amount… I’m Asian so I am offended by the small dinky of “fried rice” bruh like for real.. 😂 you’ll make every Asian community not like you with that itty bitty fried rice committee…my Toddler can eat 3servings of that… never mind a full grown adult.. some of the menu items is not what it seems, it all sounds the same with its sides of something.
I bit into my chicken & it fell apart what I mean by that was the breading, I’m sorry… it needs improved it just crumbles until there’s no breading on the chicken left like my whole chicken was naked after it all crumbling too much cornmeal. The aroma of the chicken is great but would I get that chicken sandwich again… probably not for a while. The particular item with the fried rice is overpriced & was looking for more than just 2/3 of cup …
Ps. I love my potatoes 🥔 & y’all made it to the 💯 point!
Thank you for...
