Chopstickers — Restaurant in Lakewood

Me and my son decided to try Chopstickers because it is close to home and we love dumplings. Unfortunately we left extremely disappointed and still hungry after trying one dumpling and spitting it out. The dumplings tasted like they were frozen and the flavor was oily and disgusting. The pot stickers were ok but nothing to ride home about as they tasted like they were frozen as well. My son ordered the milk tea expecting boba in it and it came without, he said it tasted too sweet and just like the frozen milk tea you get from the grocery store with way more sugar. The staff never came up to ask us how the food was or check on us. We ended up leaving all the dumplings on the table as well as the boba and pot stickers, as we were leaving I mentioned how bad the food was a got a "sorry, have a good day" instead of trying to rectify the situation. Had beef noodle soup and it wasn’t that bad, beef was tender and soup had good favor. Order from cashier and they will bring food to you. So no tip involved. Stop by for business lunch and will be back next time. Update 11/1/25 came back and biy what a down turn. Order the beef noodle soup and soup dumplings and what a must be the cook or something. Food came out medium warm and the soup dumpling was even warm. I didn't bother to tell the host due to it was not busy and I figure she would ask me how is everything but no service. Plus the beef was not tender and hard to chew. I won't be back next time. It's sad how a good restaurant and keep up the good food and let alone the temperature of the food. What a...

Don’t sleep on this one.

The pork belly buns are amazing. Good mix of veggie and the meat is amazing. The steamed bun is soft but not soggy. The sauce has a bit of sweetness that is great.

The water fried bao. I can’t say enough about these. The dough has a nice amount of salt, the pork meatball inside is seasoned super well. The bottoms are crisp without being burnt or overdone.

My only issue is that it took a bit to get my food, but I also understand that I came in immediately after opening and they probably weren’t quite ready. That’s on me.
