Mariscos El Rey 3 — Restaurant in Lakewood

Decided to dine here with some friends and enjoy some seafood only to be completely disappointed! First of all, the customer service was terrible! We asked our waiter if she could move us to a different area of the restaurant on more than 2 occasions. We wanted to be seated in the area that had the windows open which she kept saying she would move us once there was a table of 4 available. There was plenty of tables open and after a while she just pretended to forget. Second, we ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was cold and tasted like fish! However we ate it. We then ordered a a cococeviche, a piñaceviche and a seafood mixto bag. The only semi decent tasting dish was the piñaceviche. The cococeviche was completely bland!! I make better ceviche at home to be honest. And the seafood mixto bag was sooo oily and gross! Our waiter also never brought us refills for our drinks until we had to ask. I ordered “Chiles toreados” to which the waiter brought out “Chiles tortios” instead. I brought it to her attention and she rolled her eyes and said “it’s ok I can take it back” she later came back and said she couldn’t take it off my tab because I ordered it and they had already prepared it. I then responded and said “what do you mean you can’t take it off my tab if that’s not what I ordered” which she rolled her eyes again and said “it’s ok but I’ll have to pay for it now” and walked away. Later a different waiter approaches me and lectures me about the same issue saying I need to pay better attention to the menu before I order because if not then the waiter has to pay for the order mess up. Im writing this review because the service here is very bad the food here has always been great but i was there again yesterday and my order again was wrong and had clearly told the waitress what i wanted i even showed her a picture there was no loud music since the grupo had just finished , the waitress kept going back and fourth on how i was wrong that she writes stuff down for a reason but she seem distracted with other stuff she had going on when we were telling her our order , she brought out the food i did not touch it because i notice it was not what i asked for so i asked her to change it for what i asked for and she said no because they charge her for the food she does a mistake on , i dont understand what that means i told her to leave it since this never happens , usually if a order is wrong the restaurant changes it since i am the one paying for what i want , i also has an incident where before ordering anything i asked for a separate check because me and my husband had gone with many people and the waitress kept telling me she could not do that i was so confused on why she couldn’t , they always made us feel like we are not allowed to do anything about it when we are the...

I love their Sushi, unfortunately I had a terrible experience tonight... We arrived and ordered our food; I ordered the Avocado Sushi. I got to the last piece of sushi when I realized there was a piece of hair inside of it. I grabbed the long piece of hair and literally pulled it all out of the piece of sushi... I right away told the waitress and she went and spoke to who knows who... Out waitress left for the day and had s oido mekne else taking care of us... We asked for the check and they hadn't done anything about the piece of hair... I asked the new waiter what was going to happen with regards to rhe shushi... He went and asked the "manager" and came back to tell us that nothing could be done... I got up and spoke to the manager about it and we literally had an argument about it... She dared to say that I comtinued to eat the sushi after I found the hair!!! I was eating my salad while I waited for the waitress to come... It was such a terrible experience and I've heard it isn't the first time someone has complained about hair in their food... Terrible... Their food is great, but after today, there are much better places...
