I was so excited to try this place after viewing the menu and reading the reviews. I made a reservation for 7pm and we checked in at 620. The host said she would have a table for us in about 20 minutes and she said she would call me when it was ready. At 7 I called to ask how much longer and she said only about 10 minutes and again, she would call me. After 15 minutes I walked to the host stand and saw multiple open tables. The manager apologized, sat us and explained that she would personally serve us. We waited 20 minutes for our first appetizer. We ordered the artichoke mushroom dip and the presentation of the dip as well as the veggies was sad. The celery was broken not cut and the pita was stale. The dip itself was lukewarm and really disappointing. We asked for waters to accompany our bottle of wine that we had to request twice. We came to try the oysters and prime rib and they were out of both. Our meal plan changed to trying the fondue and then ordering entrees, however our waiter, the manager was nonexistent. There were multiple open tables so I’m unsure of the excuse for poor service. When we were finally able to order the fondue, it took over 20 minutes to get to the table. I asked the ticket time on the fondue and was told it was 5 to 10 minutes. I am so disappointed in both service and food quality. I highly doubt I would ever recommend this...
Read moreHad lunch with a business partner and similarly small business owner in the neighborhood. Service was standard . Half of our order was great the other half undercooked. No big deal. Happy to support small businesses in the area . Got our check and saw a 10% takeout fee added to our bill. We didn’t order takeout or ask to take anything out from the restaurant. We informed our server of this and she re-prepared our bill and returned it with a 5% heart of house gratuity fee line item. When we questioned her about this this she told us she’s only been there a month and this is just how it works and walked away. If you visit Tellers Taphouse website it claims all staff are paid a living wage and says nothing about additional fees to be able to eat at this establishment. So either the staff is grifting the customers or the owners are instructing the staff to grift customers. Either way bad practice. Manage your food/drink/labor costs and adjust prices as necessary. Don’t float made up costs to your customers. Or if you charge a percentage increase for tip pooling etc . Have your servers let the table know that when they are seated . Then if a customer asks don’t just reduce your weird line item fee from “takeout charge 10%” to “house heart gratuity 5%” and expect customers to not...
Read moreI like this place. I have been here before covid for trivia night and it was a lot of fun. Went for some birthdays today. They do have a very nice tent for outdoor dining but it was too chilly for me today. Our table was set away from others which was nice. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and very patient. Which I really appreciated.as I can be needy and slow at times. His name was Kevin. I had the Croque Madame and it was very good.the portion sizes are generous which is very nice. The sweet potato fries are excellent. I had a soda water and it came in huge jar glass which was great. They have a bunch of different bloody Mary's but the glasses were small. I guess they had a bigger one but we saw this at a different table. The hangover hash and avacado toast looked good. The steak and eggs is not a huge steak but looked like a very nice cut and looked cooked well. The chocolate chip waffle on the kids menu is ok. 8 bucks which is pretty pricey for a kid meal The chips are put on top instead of cooked in. This got a bit messy for a toddler who wanted to pick up the pieces and dip it into the syrup. They also brought the kids milk out in the container with a screw off lid which when open is not spill proof. I really like this place and would go again but...
