I went here for lunch with some friends and it did not disappoint. On a Saturday, they had a limited menu that consisted of mostly sandwiches. However, the did have White Cheddar Chicken Wings, which I got. They came with absolutely delicious house made ranch. The wings themselves were good but all flats. My table also got the Gochujang Fries, which were likewise amazing with a creamy cheese dip. The standout, however, was the egg sandwich. If you are around this place for breakfast or lunch. Give them a try!

The best food on the planet!! PERIOD. There's some food you eat and then there's the Speckled Egg Cafe which you experience. Each item is prepared to order. The taste of each bite is in a word MAGICAL!! I enjoy savoring each bite raather than rushing through my meal. The attention to detail (even the napkins are amazing), quality of ingredients, charisma & passion of the owners makes for the greatest dining experience! The Kimchi Egg Sandwich is my all time favorite. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Well done speckled egg - 👏🏻👏🏻 I got the lamb shawarma smash and the salt&vinegar fries - absolutely insane. Food had lots of flavor and I could tell it was fresh/real food. Was it a little pricey? Maybe…but I feel good about the money I spent here. Could I have shared the fries with 3 other people…also maybe, but I am an animal and crushed them by myself. Thanks for the hospitality Tony, total vibe - I’ll be back 🫡

Lambertville just got a serious upgrade with the new Speckled Egg Café, and after my visit, I can confidently say this spot is a must-try for locals and visitors alike.

Let’s start with the food—everything we tried was thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. The salt and vinegar French fries were an unexpected standout: crispy, tangy, and perfectly addictive. They’re a side dish that steals the show.

The sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich was a breakfast classic done right—hearty without being heavy, and sourced with care. The lamb smash burger was a bold, juicy take on a favorite, with just enough spice and depth to keep you coming back for another bite.

For something a little more comforting, the porridge was a surprise hit. Creamy, subtly sweet, and just rustic enough to feel like it came from grandma’s kitchen. And don’t even think about leaving without grabbing a blueberry scone. Flaky, not too sweet, and generously packed with fruit—these are the kind of baked goods that make you consider getting a dozen to go.

As for the service? Spot on. The vibe is laid-back and casual, but the staff never misses a beat. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake—it’s clear the team here knows what they’re doing and loves doing it.

All in all, The Speckled Egg’s Lambertville café is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to—whether for a cozy breakfast, a casual lunch, or just a great cup of coffee and a pastry....

Edit 2025: No longer in the middle of nowhere, this place is still magical and I'm glad they have the foot traffic outside to support how incredible their food is. Come early and come hungry. You're going to want to get a lot of things.

What the heck is this magical place doing in the middle of basically nowhere. I've paid 2-3 times as much for less quality than you'll find here. Soup that was so elevated, I found the rest of my meals on the same downhill from there. A sandwich that was just perfect with a bun that was crisp on its entire inner surface. I literally stumbled in here on the way up to another destination but the food is good enough that I must make that drive up again and this'll be a main stop for sure. If you are even 20 minutes away, it's worth stopping in to this...

Down Home Gourmet! Innovative breakfast specials sponsoring locally sourced, community oriented products and events. Imagination and genius combine to create a memorable, satiating experience in a relaxed atmosphere with a wide selection of folks to mingle. On the other side of the counter is a ballet of controlled chaos with shoutouts at the locals and warm greetings for the newcomer, while a steady stream of overflowing plates carry colorful homemade delicious delights trailing mouthwatering aromas dissipate into the crowd. Always just a little more crowded, as one of Bucks best-kept-secrets gets the recognition they deserve. Scrapple cooked in a waffle iron? There should be a medal for that! Fun, friendly and always something a little bit different and...
