Metá Café — Restaurant in Lambertville

I came across Politi’s today with some friends while browsing the shops of New Hope. I have always been a fan of various meats and cheese boards, so I took a glance over. I went around the market to take in all available options for lunch and nothing compared to the tasty samples available at Politi’s.

I came back over to decide which sandwich I wanted and with great enthusiasm, the sandwich artist offered me a Parmesan Cone filled with Prosciutto de Parma. It was one of the best / creative things I have eaten! Must have even as a snack on the go.

As my friend and I are waiting for our sandwiches, we converse and she offers us a special pesto sauce which we of course had to have on our sandwich which I reluctantly forget the name of. (It was a long day of tubing, apologies). They all seemed wonderful but the one with prosciutto, roasted red peppers, mozzarella (and the special pesto sauce) on a baguette hit the ultimate spot!

My girl and I were heading out there for a day trip from the city. I had originally planned to go to another place down the road because online they said they were pet friendly but when we got there they said “Nope”.

It was early in the morning and we needed a place that was good and was pet friendly. I wanted more than a cafe but when I saw Metá’s reviews I called them and they said to come in over as they were pet friendly and serving breakfast.

First off, it is SUCH a cute place and despite the art and signage, the staff is SOOOO friendly and welcoming.

Secondly, the food,… wow! Definitely not what I expected from a cafe at all. The food was so fresh and truly unique. I love avocado toast so that was a no brainer for me, but the hands down winner that morning was the Cali. The Cali is a flavor bomb and something I haven’t had before.

If,… when you go to Méta, get the Cali! Also, very good...

I ate at the Meta Cafe for the first time and the food was great. I have to drop two stars off though. We were so disappointed in the service we received. We waited over 30 minutes for two egg sandwiches. The girl who took our order said she’d bring us our food (sitting outside), yet we noticed her just calling names so we waiting and listened carefully for our order. Beware.. she doesn’t try to let you hear her, she could stick her head out the door and actually call names out so people sitting at the tables can hear, but no. When my boyfriend went to ask her the status of our food, she rudely said she’d been calling our name for ten minutes. We were so annoyed. If she has food sitting there, why isn’t she coming out from the cafe asking people at the tables if it’s their order? Meta Cafe please tell this girl to try harder because she definitely ruined our...
