Had a very unfortunate and uncomfortable experience. The staff demeanor was disinterested and acted inconvenienced by having to assist me.

I was not greeted upon walking in, and was unsure whether I should sit down or wait to be acknowledged. What made it more awkward was that the space is very small, and I was the only person in the shop.

I decided I would take a seat and waited for a menu or just a general greeting. The staff member was no more than 6 feet away and could see me looking around but took more than 12 minutes to begrudgingly ask “Can I help you with something?”

I was waiting for someone and was told that we would not be able to do the wine tasting unless there were 30 minutes or more before they closed, which I understand, so I asked if I could get started. I was told no because we were using a Groupon and he needed to see the order.

My friend arrived 31 minutes before closing time. Again, the staff member looked at us and said nothing. We had to take the initiative and awkwardly asked if we could try the wine. We were told we could only if we were quick.

Overall, we felt unwelcome. The customer service was terrible, and caused us as locals to share this negative feedback with our friends in the community.

I recently visited Tomasello Winery Tasting Room in Lambertville, NJ, with my husband, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff who made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for either a romantic date or a fun hangout with friends.

We started with some delicious flatbread, which was the perfect pairing for the wines we were about to try. The wine selection was impressive, and we had the pleasure of tasting a variety of wines. My top two picks were the Tangerine Wine and the Peach Wine. Both were incredibly smooth, full of flavor, and not at all sour, which is a common problem I’ve encountered with some fruit wines. They were simply delightful, and we ended up taking a bottle of each home!

The staff was professional and clearly passionate about their craft. They educated us on the different wines, their origins, and what makes each unique. It made the whole experience feel more personal and engaging.

Such a fantastic wine tasting experience! The setting was beautiful, but what really made it stand out was the staff—they were so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the wine. They made the whole experience feel easygoing and fun, even if you’re not a wine expert.

They walked us through each tasting with great info and helpful tips, and they were more than happy to answer questions or suggest pairings. Every wine we tried was amazing—it was honestly hard to choose which bottles to take home!
