A1 Kabob — Restaurant in Lancaster

My fiancé and I stopped by on our long drive home as we both love Mediterranean food and were feeling like eating a healthy meal. Restaurant is a quick stop type shop with over the counter ordering. We were excited about the lamb tenderloin kabob meal for $16.99, but were first told that the meal would take 20-25 minutes for our food as they were busy with take out orders. When we finally received our food after about 45 minutes, it was a disappointment to say the least. The “lamb tenderloin” was 99% gristle and essentially unpalatable. The salad was grated wilted iceberg lettuce with a few scattered diced tomatoes and dressing was likely tzatziki but not good at all. The falafel was hard, and even the hummus was underwhelming. I hate to have to edit my review because I really do love the food so much. But the customer service has gone way down the last few times I've been in there. I am a pretty frequent customer so I'm pretty surprised. Even the owner gives off a bad vibe the last few times. I called in my normal order and instead of letting me finish what I was saying she told me to tell her what I want when I come in, the whole point in calling it in is so its quicker. Then the lady in the red flannel who cooked the food and brought it out to me had a terrible attitude and didnt even look at me or say a word after I said thank you! She just walked away. I'm not used to this type of treatment here becaus usually they're all so kind. Not sure what happened.

The lady behind the register did not even put the cap on my drinking cup after putting Coke in it. I told her I wanted a number 27 but she didn't bother to look. That made me believe that she knew what I wanted. She obviously ended up giving me the wrong order so I returned it to get the correct order. They gave me the correct order and didn't say sorry for anything and the meat to salad ratio on my chicken gyro was unbelievable. There was barely any chicken in my gyro and I remember when they gave me the wrong kind of gyro that had beef, that gyro had alot of beef in it. Bad experience not coming here again. People that make good comments for this restaurant are probably family members of the owner or they probably get hooked up with extra food. I don't recommend at all....
