My pick up time for carside was 7:19pm. I arrived around 7:20pm. After waiting for approximately 25 minutes in the car I walked in and noticed a bag sitting on the counter. After another 15 minutes someone asked what order I was waiting for along with another patron. The bag on the counter belonged to the other person which is when I told her it had been sitting out for a while, since I came in. She paid then mumbled some negative comments about the restaurant.
A few minutes later I received my food, I took out one fry already knowing the temperature. I ate the fry, packed it up and put it back on the counter. I told her the food was cold and she replied âfrom eating one fry?â She took the bag and brought it back out a minute later and said âhere, hot fries.â I opened the bag and felt the temperature of the item on top, quesadilla burger and it wasnât even room temperature, it was cold. I was told âwell, your pick up time was at 7:19 itâs past 8, of course itâs cold.â This is when I asked for a manager. The manager came out and offered to remake it, at this point I had been there for 55min. This is no longer an experience or a fluke with this location. Itâs now a trend.
This was the 3rd and final time we will try this restaurant. Weâve sat at the bar, sat in the dining room and now tried carside; all of which were equally bad experiences. How can a management team ruin an Applebees? Iâm genuinely curious how this locations management staff still has their job? First off when we got there we were seated in a section that had not even been cleaned off so the hostess had to bus the tables for us to be seated. Our server came over and never introduced herself and got our drink order. She brought us our drinks and took our order. She did not come back by until she brought our food out. At which point she finally realized we didn't have silverware, a runner brought our appetizer out without plates or silverware. So she walks by and places silverware on the edge of the table without stopping. We had to flag her down to ask for refills and napkins, she didn't even look at the glasses to see how much was in the glasses. She brings back just one refill without stopping or anything. She leans over the rail quickly to put a couple of napkins on the table. We had to basically yell at her to get the other refill we needed. We then had to yell to get her attention to get the check after attempting to get her attention and wave at her numerous times. She never asked how the food was (which was horrible, the chicken was dry and the buttery garlic and parsley sauce was not on it; the potatoes were bland; the shrimp were either cold or room temperature).    Read moreWe were in town for the races, stopped by for dinner. The watiress was very defensive with everything we said. She never brought refills or anything else we asked for. They brought us half an appetizer and she said the kitchen screwed up not her fault. So she eventually brought us the rest of the order. Then 40 mins later she brought our food, my bowl was filthy . She said that it was dirty because the sit near the sauce board. I told her I wanted another one and I didn't want her to just move that food from one bowl to another. She returned 7 mins later with the manager. The manager set down the food and said is that alright this time. The waitress said she comped that for you. Then the waitress was very accommodating. She made sure we had refills and had a better attitude. Then she brought the check. I had been comped for the chicken that I returned in the dirty bowl, but I was charged for the one I ate. Not how you do business. This place should have a complete retraining.
I changed my rating, the manager called me today 9/8 and apologized. He said things were taken care of there and that I would not have to deal with this type of service if I returned.
