I am very disappointed at these kind of people that have a business and treat people who give their business to them like mud on their shoes, I have seen it at several of these stores that carry products and offer services that many hard working people need in their daily living.
I walked in and got a product which the wrapping was torn on one end, I brought it to the attention of the lady at the register, whom I believe to be the owner, she was reluctant to exchange it for me, it was an edible item that I refuse to buy if it was opened or torn, I politely pointed that out and she said "it's because they stick together, because they're paper, just take it like that" it's not just what she said to me, but how she said it, kind of saying, you don't tell me what I sell to you or not.
Next time I went, to buy something, she ignored that I was ready to pay, because she was "busy" doing something else that wasn't as pressing as me getting out of there, she was rude and didn't even say, excuse me I need to go behind the register, since I didn't know I was in front of the door that leads there, and then she was mad that I was at the register that she wasn't using.
I finished my purchase, she didn't even thank me, and it's the same way they treat other PAYING CUSTOMERS, I have seen the same attitude at another so called "Mexican" store over on Lincoln Hwy, they're rude, very rude, I don't go there to ask for stuff or loiter I go there to BUY so that I get what I want and help them make a living in the process, however little profit they make off me, it adds up if you treat me right, I'll come back, if not, I won't and will spread the word how bad they treat costumers and not give you...
Read moreMexican cuisine, culture, history, and flavor. I ordered a carne asada taco with cilantro and onions and it costed $3.75, as well as nachos that comes with al pastor roasted pork with pineapple, beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and tomato, it costed $12.95. The tortilla had a soft texture that paired with the carne asada, while the chicken was tender and full of flavor. The onions added a nice kick, and the cilantro tasted fresh. The nachos were made with a mix of different ingredients that looked very appealing together. The al pastor chicken was slightly spicy and well done, while the pineapple added a sweetness that balanced the flavors. The tortilla chips were crispy, crunchy, and had just the right amount of salt to complement the rest of the dish. Learning about carne asada helped me understand how Mexican culture is shown through its food. Grilling meat started in Northern Mexico where people used what they had. Over time, carne asada became popular beyond Mexico, showing how food can bring people together while keeping old traditions alive. Tacos al pastor originated in Mexico when Lebanese immigrants brought their shawarma cooking technique to the country and Mexicans later replaced the lamb with pork and added ingredients like pineapple. The pineapple was added to provide a sweet taste to contrast the savory meat. If you’re looking to learn more about Mexican cuisine trying carne asada tacos can be a great start as they are very popular and can found in many Latin American restaurants.

Read moreAs far as rating the food i would say 4 stars. Tamales are good. It's the other things that I have issues with and for that reason I would never go there again. For one, they reuse the various sauces that they hand out for your meals. They are open containers that you spoon out or dip out of and they move it from table to table until the sauce is gone or needs refilled. It's not even like they hide it. Look at the half empty used sauce containers in the grocery store frig. The last time I was there the service was ridiculously bad. It took 15 mins or more before we ever saw waitress and there was only two other people there. They had no tamales. She was very short and rude. They left things out my wife ordered. My chorizo tacos were very dry and overcooked I guess. We seen the waitress twice the whole time, to order and get our food where she actually left the receipt when she brought out the food. I love tipping deserving waiters/waitresses but I was leaving them nothing bc it was beyond what I've ever dealt with. When I went up to go pay didnt the waitress come up and say in Spanish that we didnt leave a tip and ask them for one. Bc I am nonconfrontational I said 2 dollars and left knowing I would never again spend money there. Disclaimer, i used to go there a lot bc of reasonable prices and decent food but the food went downhill and with everything else it makes it...
