Family Fish Market — Restaurant in Lancaster

This is NOT a fish market so don't be confused if you get there and all they serve is 7 types of fish (which from memory were Catfish, Swai, Sole, Red Snapper, Tilapia and other catfish type fish). They also had TWO frog legs, 7 shrimps and 5 scallops... so the selection is ridiculously limited.

I am accustomed to a "fish market" where they have on ice plenty of different kinds of typical and exotic fish (octopus, bass, squid, swordfish, shark, etc...) and you won't find that here. You won't even find something basic like Salmon or trout. Don't even think about fresh lobsters in an aquarium.

In fact, the place looks like a desolate convenience store with a few selections of chips and hot sauce. The only fish you will find is in one small refrigerated showcase were the aforementioned fish will be on ice. But I cannot express enough how limited it is. Total, there might be about 35 pieces of fish.

The main reason why the black community goes there it seem is for the "snack bar" portion of the store where you can order Po'Boys, Chicken wings and other fried food. Now mind you I ordered a Po'Boy sandwich and it was pretty good. So this is why I'm not tanking this place to 1 star.

But don't expect a "fish market" as this is only a place to get a take out...

I want to say it was nice to meet the new staff they were very pleasant, courteous, patient and organized fulfilled my order as I requested I got a pound of talipia $8/10 dollars worth got 8 nice size pieces i also got almost pound of red snapper for $10 and 3order of fries for $2.50 each plus Hush puppies 12/4.50 and baby let me tell you I been dancing since I ate lol that food was bomb.com they made all my food crispy as I requested and had 3 ppl taking orders which was good got ppl in and out then they said 25mins it would be ready and it was they forgot my fries made it right immediately no wait no attitude im very pleased with our new owners and workers thanks for the great service and food I was reading the reviews all day then I picked my son up from work he said mom im craving fish I said they had bad reviews high prices and all but I went anyways and im happy I did prices the same as our last owners just no combos but the prices are cool we basically got 4 fish combos out of our food all together we got lots of food go support u guys want be disappointed this review is for...

I want to start by saying that I went against my better judgment and ordered from a place with less than four stars. With that being said, the first time I ordered the food was delicious. I ordered a pound of red snapper and a large hush puppies, and I received a nice portion of red snapper nuggets. I paid about $22.49. Today, I happened to put in a phone order, and came in before my food was ready and the lady was trying to charge me over $24, for the same order I paid $22.49, the last time I was there. Then she tells me we'll we gave you more than a pound of snapper. I said I didn't order more than a pound, so then she tried to weigh some fresh fish, so she could figure out how much less of a pound of fish to give me, but my food was already cooking. I told her it did not make sense to weigh some fresh fish and charge me less...so they charged me the regular price and took off half my fish. I will never be back.
