I was scrolling to see if I’m the only one who feels like Doublz is just not the same anymore in the past 2-3 years and was so surprised to see them respond to a comment saying same ownership for the past 25 years?!!! I thought the ownership changed 2-4 years ago! At least that would explain the tremendous change in the taste and value of the food. I have lived here for 21 years, used to go to Park view middle school across the street so am an old timer! Grew up on Doublz! Every single time I come into town since moving away a few years ago I come here for the chili cheese fries alone! My brothers and sisters do the same every time we come to visit our mom! Everything has always been a fave, from just the fries alone with some ranch! Yummy! To breakfast burritos! One of our fave places! But recently Jesus! We have all been so disappointed and have tried hopeful every time we come to visit to give it another chance. I’m so sad..after this last time I’m done for at least awhile hopeful to try again in the future but with the consistent lack of quality tasting food, the up in prices on top of that and the staff just isn’t the same, so rushed and rude. I’m done ): This time and the last the chili cheese fry was so bad…it was literally all fries, with very little chili, the cheese was fair but the proportion was so off I literally barely got to eat any of it! AND it’s for double the price now! I would at least not mind paying the price IF the quality was the same BUT it’s not. ): The avocado burger was actually good, no complaints BUT the fries! I made sure when I ordered I said can I have seasoned fries please in which she rudely responded, “All our fries are seasoned” AND IT WAS NOT SEASONED!!!! Like how are you going to respond like that when I even asked nicely THEN not give me seasoned fries PLUS they were hard! Ugh I’m so so disappointed if you can’t tell ): and soooo sad! My family’s fave place to eat that we all collectively bond over coming back home to visit is literally just not the same anymore ): AT ALL. I really really wish they would take these comments into consideration and make some real changes. Like I get after Covid prices have to go up..BUT at least serve the same quality as you did before! Listen to your customers and find out where the flaws are so we get that same quality back and same customer service!! That’s what you guys were so known and loved for!!! The chili cheese fries proportions used to be so generous, the burgers used to be the best in town!! The fries were always served fresh (not hard or not mushy) and well seasoned! The food used to be made with love!! The atmosphere and customer service used to be so welcoming!!! The root beer is STILL the best in town tho (: God bless you all! I hope you read this and take it to heart and make the appropriate changes! My family and I have been fans since...
Read moreI ordered a cheeseburger combo and there were not a lot of people at the restaurant so I decided to dine in. Unfortunately, after eating about two or three bites of the cheeseburger, I realize there was a piece of hair in my burger. I walked to the counter and asked to speak with a manager about my experience. The manager told me that "my people" always do this. That we eat half of our burger and put our own hair into the burger to get our money back and that he would not be giving me my money back today. It's a really bad feeling when you just ordered three combos for you and your family and you've spent over $25.00 in an establishment and you feel so belittled and are accused of something that is untrue. I never asked for my money back, I actually just wanted a new burger minus the hair. The manager was very rude and never resolved my complaint. I promised myself I would never eat at this restaurant again. Once I made it home I called the restaurant back and asked for corporate's phone number. The manager gave me a phone number to another doubles. I calledthat doubles and asked for corporate and come to find out doubles is not a corporation, it is a franchise business so there was no one to complain too. I will no longer support this restaurant which is bitter sweet because I've been eating here since I was a teenager but I refuse to be...
Read moreI went to Doublz on West Ave J and 10th street west to place a rather large order. Total was a little over $45. Now, we trust the cooks to give us the correct order, right...? Well guess again. We ordered vía drive thru since we can't go inside so we get home and the orders were incorrect. Two burritos were incorrect. I went back to tell them about this mistake and they told us we need to bring the food back (which we didn't know) but with the situation we are in right now, is it really smart to take food back to your restaurant like that? We spoke to "Juan" the cook. Not the manager. He wasn't there but "Juan" the cool told us that he will NOT give us the correct order multiple times after explaining the situation. Again, what if someone has COVID-19 at home, how are we suppose to take that back to a restaurant? Anyways, we had to pay AGAIN for our order. Very very bad customer service. I asked for a main office number and he said they don't have one and when I ask to speak to a manager, they said "he was on vacation". So disappointed at this restaurant. We will not be going back. They lost a lot of customers for their actions this morning. I think it's funny how they refused to give me a main...
