WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER. I will definitely NOT be going back to this place. The manager does not know how to run a business or knows simple math. Not sure how he got the job. First of all, it took 20 minutes to be seated. When we first got there, there were plenty of tables open and they were not that busy. Once we were seated, we kept waiting for someone to come take our order. At this point we went and complained to the manager who said "sorry we are busy and short staffed". On the way to complain the first time to the manager, I noticed the couple that came in behind us was already eating their food. WTF. All the manager said was, there were only two people. That should not make a difference. Thirty minutes later, someone finally came over to take our drink order. Because we had been waiting so long, everyone knew what they wanted to eat and asked the waitress if she could take our food order as well, she replied "no I am only here to get your drinks". About another 20 minutes go by, and we finally start getting our drinks, two at a time, because that is all she could carry at once. At this point everyone was frustrated and contemplating leaving, we should have left. I went again and complained and received the same story of how busy it was, yet there were only 2 other people in the restaurant. After complaining someone finally came over to take our order. This gentleman was informed that we all had coupons to use. As we were waiting again for the food, we noticed the tables behind us had not been cleaned off since we got there. Just plates and old food sitting right behind us. Gross. Food finally came out at different times. Then when the check came, we all pulled out our coupons and was told that we could only use one per table. No where on the coupon or in the restaurant does this state you can use only one. We all asked for separate checks not sure what the problem was. We again asked for the manager who stated he could not take off the coupons because it was only one per table. Again they were told in the beginning that we all had coupons. After arguing we found out all of us were rung up on one bill and their "system" could not split the bills. WTF. The manager eventually took $30 off the total, the combined amount of the coupons and we all ended up paying separately until the bill was at $0. If you want the worst service ever and a dirty environment, this...
Read moreThis place has been a go to for me for years and years and years. Went here as a kid and now I bring my kids here. The food quality has stayed relatively consistent over the years - it was a little shaky there a few years back, but they've recovered gracefully.
I usually get a steak and baked potato when I'm here. While they don't always seem to get the internal temperature right, it's never a huge difference, and it's always at least undercooked, so if it needs to get sent back it can just be cooked longer (which is good since you can't uncook a steak). Though I tend not to care because I like my steak undercooked, but my other half gets her steak cooked to a shoe leather consistency and most places don't do well done correctly - and rightfully so, well done = why bother eating steak? - so I can't knock the Cattle Co. too hard for that one.
The steaks generally come with a salad and garlic bread too. The salad (with ranch) is so good. I'm not usually a salad guy because lettuce is the food that food eats, but I really enjoy their salad. And the garlic bread? If I could mow down a whole loaf with dinner, I totally would. That stuff is just so good.
The beers here are cold and big, so bring a designated driver because you're gonna want a few when it's hot outside. And since summer is coming in a few days, it's gonna be hot, which means big, cold beer drinking weather is here.
My only gripe about this place, and unfortunately it's kind of a big thing, is that the wait staff here is always incredibly slow. Whether the place a has a decent amount of guests or mine is the only occupied table, it takes forever for the waitresses or waiters to come to the table to refill a drink or check in on the food with us or anything that requires a waitress. Often times I'll see them on their cell phones in the back or chatting amongst themselves or anything other than making sure my glass isn't dry on the inside or seeing if my dinner companion may need her steak burnt even more because there was maybe a hint of pink or some semblance of flavor left (sorry honey đ).
Overall, I love this place. The food is good, the beer is good, and the garlic bread is enough to walk through fire and broken glass to get...
Read moreWent here for a late lunch/early dinner with a party of four. To avoid any dining and dashing you order your food and pay first and then get seated. The steaks and burgers and good the grill masters in the kitchen know how to cook there is no disputing that, but the side dish portions are small. They have Texas in the name but not in the portions. Any foodie knows the quantity of the sides must match the main dish, but here the side of beans and potato salad were in a small, child size or sample plate and bowl. So after about 5 or 6 spoons the sides are gone and you will still have half your left. Now if they increased the sides by even 25% it would better match for the $25 - $35 per person price range. Also the male waiter only had eyes for the young woman in our group. She was able to get 3 or 4 drink refills in the same time everyone else got one. He would swoop in ask if she needed a refill and yeet on out before we had a chance to say a word. On the way back he would just place the drink in front of her, not even breaking stride. Pretty smooth but gave her and the other women in our group a creepy vibe while the rest of us had to wait for a different, female waiter to ask for our drink refills. It turned out the male waiter wasn't even our waiter, the lady was. It was very disconcerting to have a young male waiter appearing every five minutes to wait on one person in our group and a separate, elderly woman who only came by about every 15 minutes and it tainted the entire meal somehow, like they knew the difference between good service and poor service and was showing us the difference. For atmosphere there is a model train that loops around on a track above you near the ceiling but it was not running when we were there. Overall this place has the vibe of being one hell of a steak house about ten years ago, now it is a dusty restaurant with everyone employed there doing the bare minimum to get paid...
