Disappointed to report to all this place has truly lost luster the decor is still quite up to par however upon arrival the menu has zero prices with just a barcode to scan for the actual menu with listing never seen that done at any other sushi bar! The music was an awful choice early two thousands with the chef singing along to the lyrics the whole visit unprofessional to say the very least the service was great from the waitress however I ordered spicy garlic edemame and what I got was the dish covered sloppily in regular moi ploy sauce! This is a disgrace to any edemame anywhere!! We were charged nearly fifty dollars for this subpar visit. And the rolls we ordered were just OK so yeah overall if your looking for a great experience I suggest going to any other sushi spot.

Miso Sushi was once the top shop in Lancaster, however those days are long past. This was my second visit where there was only a single chef serving during prime lunch hours. Where one sushi shop less than a mile away had a 45 min wait, you could sit right down at Miso. The food was good and larger than is served in other places. Miso also offers all-you-can-eat pricing which is nice. But the service is frustratingly slow leaving you without much desire to return. The staff also at times seemed far more interested in their own entertainment than in providing a great customer experience. Management needs to take immediate steps to change the culture and experience or Miso will continue to lose ground to competitors.

Miso Sushi is a Great small Restaurant. It is hidden from the street. Its a hole in the wall. We were pleasantly surprised. The Quality of the fish is High , especially for Lancaster. I had all you can eat. In Hour and a Half had 10 Rolls, miso soup and a Seaweed salad. Oh yummy ! All the food was excellent. Price was $26.99 for all you can eat, well worth the price. The rolls did not have too much rice. The Restaurant has a family atmosphere. Highly Recommend if you like Japanese food. I will return.

I use to like this place but size portions are sooooo small now. I didn't touch my roll and had them take it back and off bill. Here are my pros and cons. Let's start of with pros. Water taste filtered. Plates and cups were clean. Service was friendly. A little slow as always but servers have never been rude to me. No oder, place smelled OK. And kitchen food ok such as a combo plate. Like chicken teriyaki and tempura mix. Miso soup ok. Cold salad with combo was great. Loved dressing. And cucumber salad always good but size is getting smaller n smaller each time. Now for the cons I have never had such a SMALL sushi roll served omgosh I was so embarrassed for the chef. This roll was priced $16.95 on menu. The paper thin slice tuna on top of the roll was such a shame. It was so thin and cut square like that it didn't not fall over onto the roll. The size portion was just as bad. The roll thickness all together was about the size of a quarter including the fish laid on top. The part that made my eye widen is it was suppose to come with avocado, lol 1 small piece laid on top of roll, in middle, that's it. The small square pieces of tuna that laid on top did not over lap at all. Honestly, it was spaced slightly. I have no clue if they have a new chef or not but sadly I will not be back. I did not touch my roll and complained. They were kind and apologetic and willing to remake but I did not want to chance getting the same size roll with maybe 1 extra small piece of tuna. In the past I have ordered the spider roll never had a bad protion size serving but thought I try something different, smh. In conclusion do I recommend? hard to say. One needs to pay attention what chef's are working the sushi bar. But I will not be back to figure out who makes decent size...

In short - my favorite place in the AV for sushi.

I see there is a lot of debate in the user reviews for Miso, I think it has more to do with the customers than the place itself. I have seen some of the rudest customers in this place. I see it a lot in sushi places, but poor Miso must have some kind of extra pushy, rude customer magnet in back somewhere. Just look at the way some of the negative commenters express themselves and think that will be proof enough. My wife and I have laughed for days over some of the rude customers we have seen at this place. We were glad we weren't the ones on the receiving end.

I like the sushi chefs, especially Arthur. They have always been great to me and my wife. We followed several people from Wasabi's a little before it closed over to Miso when it opened. They do have to deal with some rude customers though and I am certain they intentionally mess with them. I think its funny and well deserved. Miso doesn't have the commercial atmosphere of Big Tuna and that's a big part of the reason I like to go there more. I feel like I have a personal relationship with the people there, and I think they are all very friendly and hard working. They have never denied me a special request to any roll I have gotten there, so people complaining about the selection there are most likely just limited by their own imagination. I think their roll selection is fine.

My favorite roll here currently is called the Caliland -- its basically like sushi candy imo. They have another heavy tempura roll named after Lancaster that is good. I also like the Green Bamboo and Spider Rolls. The size of the rolls often varies from average to very large (like Lancaster Rolls). My wife loves the crispy tofu salad and pumpkin...

At one point this was THEE SPOT to get sushi in the AV. I have been coming here for 15+ years and have spent a ton of money here. Even for just me, I spend at least $125 every time and tip well. It was always delicious and the place one wanted to be at to eat sushi. Jan 20th 2024 I came during prime lunch hours with someone who was very dear to me. The service and food was sooo terrible that I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed because I had been bragging so much about how wonderful this place was. They had one cook during peak lunch hours so not only was the wait extremely long, but his rolls etc were on par with a pre-packaged California roll from 7-11. He and others all acted as if one was inconveniencing them for being there and ordering. Also just one waitress who was new AND reminded the lady owner that she had an appointment and had to leave early. The owner attempted to fill in for her and apparently was not told about the additional things I had ordered. So now waiting even longer. The owner was walking around with a snarl on her face and acted like I was the enemy when even saying excuse me to her in an attempt to inform her abt my order. She ended up nearly running by my table and basically tossing/sliding my plates toward us with zero interaction or eye contact even after my two attempts at telling her thank you. It is so sad to see what was once my favorite spot in this condition. At one point in time the Super Miso roll was thee best thing in all of the high desert. I wish them luck and hopefully a turn around, but as for now I have spoke the truth about its...
