Well I went back around 8 pm while visiting my wife in an extended care facility. Boy what a difference between when the owner is in house and not there. Very disappointed in the food this time guess day time is the best to visit. Original review below
I grew up in southern Colorado so awesome tex/mex is nothing new to me. However. MI Durango's food put the best of the best of Colorado's tex/mex to shame. I highly recommend this little family owned resturant. If you have the time for a sit down meal, stop on by even if you don't have the time stop you won't be disappointed. They have the best chilli realanno I've ever had and that's saying a lot considering I'm over sixty. I urge you to visit this restaurant the food is absolutely off the hook, I've never had better anywhere. Everything is homemade from the sauce's to the food, all of it is homemade every morsel. I wonder if they even own a can opener? I will warn you it's a small place not a chain operation. Be prepared to have your tex/mex fix far exceeded. I just can't say enough about this place. If Google had more stars I would have given them twice the...
Read moreI've been coming to this place for some time. The food has always been ok, not the best ever, but decent . Unfortunately, today, I had a very unpleasant experience . Ordered breakfast burrito with beans added. The lady advised me that they cost an extra $3, to which I had no problem paying. They handed me the burrito but with a side of beans. I asked if they could put the beans in the burrito since it is the way I originally requested it. The lady in the kitchen did it with the worst attitude and complained that I should have ordered it right from the beginning and she just threw the beans on it and poorly wrapped it with the tortilla all broken and not even put back in the foil. When I addressed the issue to the owner, he instead of apologizing , he stared reprehending me as if it was my fault. He was just rude and did nothing to resolve the issues. All I did was bring it to his attention for future service . He just didn't want to listen. I won't be...
Read moreTried this spot out for the first time for lunch today with my family. It’s seat yourself and has outer booths with tables in the middle. We got chips and salsa and I gotta say their chips were really good. Salsa was tasty also.
I tried their taco plate with 1 chicken and 1 carnitas. There was a small piece of what tasted like cartilage in the chicken which was kinda gross. Besides that mishap the taco was really good with plenty of meat. The green sauce it came with was tasty and had a kick. Their rice and beans were good. Not my favorite as I’m used to authentic Mexican food but they were ok.
My husband said his burrito was alright but was lukewarm which was off putting. He’s less critical of food than I am so i think he’ll get something else next time hah. Our daughter enjoyed her nuggets and fries.
The restaurant was clean and service was decent. I’d like to come back and try more of...
