I have been there a few times. I have thought service was okay so I went back, It was horrible. My Girlfriend and I went in with only one other table occupied. We sit down and get are menu and the waiter just walks away. So we decide to wait for are waiter to come back. At this point we can now finally order some thing to drink and we made up are minds about what we want it took so long. So we order a appetizer and wraps. Then 2 woman come in and get seated at a table across from us. I over hear the order, it was quite silent in there. they ordered 2 Bud lights and a pizza with the works. So we are sitting there for 5-8 more minutes and the waiter brings the ladies there Bud Lights. Still waiting.. few more minutes are waiter brings are appetizer. I ask the waiter if we could have are drinks please, was told "There being filled now" so we are eating are appetizer, we finish. At this point still no drinks and several other people have came in and been seated and made orders. Are drinks finally come (%50 ice). Forgot to mention several others have gotten there drinks already, I had finished my drink and we finally get are Wraps. They bring are plates and walk away, don't ask if I need another drink and just walks away. Not even a chance to ask for a drink. My girlfriend and I just decide to eat and chat. Half way threw my meal the waiter walks buy to talk to another table and I had to catch the waiters attention and ask for another drink. I kindly ask for no ice. So we continue to eat and chat. The waiter stops by are table to tell me there replacing the C02 cartage in the soda machine. a few minutes later other table are getting there drinks. (at this point almost 3/4th's of the tables are full) We finish are meal, and again no drinks. They come and take the dish's and just walk away again. We wait for 10-15 minutes before the waiter comes over and "Surprised" we don't have are drinks. I just ask for my check ($33.xx) I pay and leave. Food: 8 out of...
Read moreWent to eat before watching the Harp Twins play at the nearby theatre. It was slammed as it was the only restaurant open on a Tuesday near the theatre (that I am aware of).
When we were seated the bartender could be heard loudly complaining about how busy it is due to the Twins playing that night. I'd like to point out that while he complained, he was sat on his butt while the only waitress that I could see was working her tail off.
The waitress zoomed here and there, she maintained her good manners despite how insanely busy she was. The man at the host post for the night (who I believe might have been the manager, though I could be mistaken) merely stood around the majority of the time.
When our food arrived the temperature of the food gave away the fact that it had been sitting for a while (likely because they didn't have the staff and I absolutely do not blame that busy bee waitress for this, she did her best!)
I saw the waitress place cocktails and such on people's tables, I wonder if the bar tender could have done that (given that I see bar tenders in other establishments do that!) I saw the host/manager bus one table and maybe do two other things but that was about it. Needless to say we gave the waitress a good tip.
I'm sure the food would have been 5 stars had it been warm enough.
If this is the way Scorpio's treats it's staff, by keeping the work load vastly uneven, then no wonder it's short staffed.
Host/manager = one star Bartender that complains in front of customers = one star Waitress...
Read moreWe called ahead to see if a table for five was available (4 adults and 1 child). We were told they don’t hold or reserve tables, which is perfectly understandable. We mentioned we were literally 500 yards down the road and the man on the line said he’d do it for us, though not policy, as we were one minute away.
So we arrive one minute later and the hostess, with an abundance of attitude, tells us very sarcastically “yeah, there WAS a table for five available but not anymore”. My wife politely gave her the name of the man she spoke to and this woman yelled back at her “I dunno why he woulda said that, we don’t hold tables!” Not an apology or an option provided like perhaps “would you like to sit at the bar instead?” Or maybe “Apologies for the confusion, but we can get you to a table soon once one opens up”. Nope, just stared a hole through the child’s head while hurling more attitude at us.
Reading several other reviews, this doesn’t seem unusual for this establishment. We certainly got the message from the staff that we weren’t welcome one bit. Not dropping a single dime on a business with attitude and disrespect to the customer like that. We ended up going over to the Copper Pig instead (which had fantastic service and food by the way).
And lastly, given the owner’s propensity for snarky and rude replies to legitimate poor reviews of his establishment, here’s another little freebie for you: It’s...
